1. Selling my LS-2 £45 + shipping. In good working order - pics up when I get 5 mins, I have the box and I think the manual too
 2.
Sold! Chuff, that was quick!
Not remotely surprised at that price, it was very competitive
 3.
I think Sonic Blue with a Tort guard is the way forward, and more "correct" for a Precision: It's also one of my dream colour combos, so you've got a guaranteed buyer if you ever choose to sell it
this; that is all
 4. Had the super silvers for a while now, so I thought I'd share my thoughts... My direct comparison is with a set of Golden Slaps that were on my bass prior. My motivation for trying them was that i was unhappy with the response of the GS E string, I felt the tension was a bit too low and the string didn't respond too well to slapping and seemed to choke on the board. The first thing I noticed when I'd changed over was how much darker the SS set was, altho' volume wise I didn't specifically notice any difference. Having said that the strings did project well in an acoustic setting with acoustic guitar and vocals, but it could be assumed that could be down to a stronger fundamental I suppose. Amplified, both sets performed well (and I've received positive unsolicited comments at gigs re the tone of the bass with both sets) altho' I run a multiFX unit with a couple of parametric eq models to tame feedback which might blur any differences between the two sets. After a couple of weeks I decided I wasn't too keen on the the SS Gstring, so swapped back to the GS, and I'm pretty happy with that. Since I was happy with the GS D&G strings, I've decided to invest in an SS Estring and then use the golden slaps for the other three. So there we have it, the original 'experiment' was a success and I'm happy with my strings and set-up (for now.....) Thanks for organising this Daf, I'll await a pm from next in line if there is one - but pls don't rush, I could do with waiting till the new E arrives

 11. Didn't get time to enter this month sadly, but I've just finished listening to all the entries. Great stuff as ever peeps, there were some seriously good entries, but Garry's (Lowdown) did it for me
 12. TC Electronic Polytune. Standard stompbox size, in excellent condition (think i still have the box) £45 collected, shipping extra.
 13.
Swingin' the blues in Radcliffe with Steve Mc has been a real pleasure; I'm learning blues/ jazz standards and in the handful of lessons I've had with Steve, he's already convinced (and helped) me to buy a double bass and start reading music - fine progress indeed! Steve is very knowledgeable and helpful and I love going to lessons knowing that I'm improving. You also get a cup of tea - a good one! Need I say more?
Thanks very much for this Paul
 14. Anyone else come across this site yet, it would be great if we could develop a UK based presence there (I'm in no way connected btw)
 15.
I haven't listened to any of the very early entries yet either, I don't want to colour my own idea, plus I prefer to know how much better everyone else's is after I've finished mine.
+1, I'm on version 2 now, and not convinced by it at the moment. I'm hoping some live guitar and bass parts might change that when I get the time
 16.
If it had any or all of these 3 more features it would be so much more useful; 1. Headphone amp circuitry 2. Midi connectivity, maybe some software as well for maintaing your banks. 3. Soundcard functionality through usb. That would make me sell my Korg Pandora PX5
Zoom B3 has all that functionality
 17. Met Phil for a seedy car park deal in Tesco, where he bought my Portaflex rig. He's a great bloke, and any potential buyer or seller can be sure of an easy transaction - I would be happy to deal again. Nice meeting you Phil. thanks very much
