1. all you'd need to do is rig a couple of LEDs up to a battery with a current limiting resistor on a bit of wire to hook over each f hole, what could possibly go wrong?
 2.
When she gets home, ask her if she's still got the £1200.
genius
 3.
Y'know, looking back through this thread, the haters can say what they like but the truth remains - IMO, these look bloody lovely. Nice bass, Davidak.
+1, really like the look of them

 7.
So just how long does this moderator approval take? I put two Dick Venom gigs up there yesterday and they still haven't appeared.
the one I put up didn't appear until after the gig, my fault I know for not doing it sooner but do we have some idea of how frequently the calendar is updated?
 8. I've had two, and as much as I like them, I can't get on with the slab body. The edge is too uncomfortable. Shame really, because otherwise I really liked them
 9. damn late night drinking sessions and hangovers, I'd have had this
 10. another vote for next to the drummers hi-hats, we generally all have fixed positions if the venue allows it
 11. wow, gorgeous bass and a brill sales thread - first one I've seen with an interview with the luthier. I'd be interested to hear other luthiers takes on matching the truss rod to the hardware but he sounds like he knows his stuff and his basses look the biz £800 looks like a really good price, good luck with the sale
 12.
On EB, yes, I've always done it because you get more control over the tone, volume and sustain of the note of you fret it than if you play open. Since moving to fretless and DB I've had to learn to use open notes to check tuning
+1 to all of this
 13.
the Hey Steve, I mentioned in OP that entries are approved in batches by the mods - it will appear, worry not!
that's great, cheers Clarky
 14.
you have pm
replied
 15. I always take a backup, my main bass is my ACG, and my backup is a shine sixer I bought off here. It never comes out of its case, but if I do get a problem, it will get me through a set until I can get the prob sorted. With all the other gear we take to gigs, another bass doesn't make too much difference
 16. put one of mine up for saturday, but it didn't add it, do they need mod approval or am i just useless?
 17.
No problem Steve i'll try and get them done asap probably be either thursday or friday cheers steve
that'll be great thanks
 18. Steve, my band may be interested in this - could arrange a meet half way too I would've thought. I'll wait for the pics and then I can discuss it with them
 19. I have the free version on my iPad and it works fine with an iRig. The sound quality and volume is much better than the amplitube app
 20.
I have a set of Bel Canto strings for sale. I'm unsure of their provenance - they came on a new bass I have just acquired - the binding at the nut end is a bit tatty. But they are otherwise sound and play very nicely. They retail at £160-ish so worth a punt at £35 posted, surely.
I'll have these please, can you pm your preferred payment method, Ta
 21. Bought these of Beedster very recently, Had the E string on for about a week, and then tried the A for an hour or so before taking them off again. I found them difficult to bow, but the pizz tone was quite tight and focussed. I'm mainly bowing at the moment, and have just sprung for a set of Belcantos, so I should really sell them on, altho' in an ideal world, where I lived in a bigger house, and had two upright basses, I'd definately keep them. I paid £90 for them, and would like to get that back - if I can't , I'll keep hold of them I could also be interested in a trade for a set Evah Pirazzis SOLD
