1. Good stuff Mick, when are you planning to start?
 2. If the Art dual tube pre is dropped to £20 and Chris doesn't want it, I'll have it, although I suspect it's dropped to £120
 3.
Perhaps you could try tabs???
now that's funny
 4.
Possible, or, your Flux Capacitor was low on Gigawatts. Just a thought.
funny, the mrs always says that
 5. weird, it worked this time, must've been an eddy in the space time continuum. anyway, I gots it now, thanks very much
 6. I can't download the file for some reason
 7.
I've never built a pedal before and I don't really understand electricity drawings either, but I love Big Muffs (and I cannot lie) and I've always thought it would be nice to have a Muff that can also go gated, and I've always fancied building something. Anyone think this is a really bad idea? Chances of me actually dying I think are fairly slim, I suppose I could annoy myself to death.
go for it, have a look at www.freestompboxes.org, they have loads of schematics using veroboard instead of pcbs, which makes things a lot easier and quicker. I can recommend trying a woolly mammoth type clone
 8. hiya from yet another manc, try the for sale forums on here, that's where all my wages seem to go
 9.
Couple of plus points for the M9 though: It's easy to program, the interface is mostly sensible, although they've had to make some compromises over the M13 to pack all the functionality in. And the way you can set a single expression pedal to control almost any (or all) parameters on one, two, or three effects at once - that's a really nice feature that opens up a lot of slick possibilities.

So if your running 3 effects at once you can set the expression pedal to change a parameter within each effect at the same time? If so that is A - Mental, and B - Cool!
+1 this is a fantastic feature, I use an M13 now because I slightly favour the interface and use the send/return to do the parallel processing thing. One nice trick is to have fuzz/OD in one path, and a clean or possibly eq'd signal in the other path, then you can use one (or two) expression pedals to cross fade the depth of dirt with the volume of the clean signal path to vary the dirt while maintaining the same volume.
 10. hey Shep the m9 and m13 are a bit lacking on there own in the drive/fuzz department unless you use some kind of blending for the clean signal. Delays chorus' and flangers are all pretty good tho' and then you've got other stuff like ring mods etc etc
 11.
Where was the place? Anywhere decent?
Hark to Towler in Tottington, just north of Bury - it's a cracking little venue
 12. I recognise those power sockets
 13. I'm sure there's a NS WAV megathread on talkbass where string options are discussed
 14. Bought Pete's Line6 Relay G30 wireless. all went smoothly, the unit was in my hands within 48hrs of paying for it, and was in better (ie pretty much as new) condition than I was expecting. Top chap to deal with, i would happily recommend him to anyone. Cheers mate steve
 15. Pete I'll take this, can you send me your preferred payment details (and some pics). tia
 16. we do a cover of 'I gotta feeling' by Black Eyed Peas if that counts, seems to go down OK used a chorus and IIRC an auto-volume delay on two parallel channels of my M13 for the synth part at the beginning
 17.
Your on the email list Steve..... As soon the finer details are sorted we will be banging out an email to everybody who has been before as a first dibs on hotel accommodation and of course a place at the curry.... Best part about the whole weekend for me is the Sat night as its always a top laugh, and great to catch up with guys and meet new fellow bass plonkers...and come the Sunday you are all like best mates.... Most guys coming here travel a long, long way...some from way down south. Its a good indication of how much of a laugh we get out of it.... Its the most relaxed bass bash I have been to....top event Of course the hangover can sometimes be a little bit of a pain..... Dave P
great stuff, cheers Dave
 18.
If you can play ok like that then id stay with it.
+1 if it works for you, gives you the sound and feel you're happy with, then it's the right technique for you
 19.
I dont suppose your a hot little 17 year old female Alex?????
ever the optimist

 21. Nice review, and aren't they fantastic basses? had mine for over six months and I still get the same buzz form playing it now as I did when I first got it
 22.
Aye mate, was thinking of bringing theBongo and the ampeg portabass rig. Hopefully indulge in a bit more of the drinking scene too hahahahaha Dont suppose theres any word of a new date????
good stuff - i've not heard anything yet tbh
 23.
Or, if you prefer, I could do you one very similar: if not the same. It'll take 2 weeks to build
I think some of the bass builders on here have been swinging the lead a bit if thats the case
