it's going to look brilliant when it's finished - how about using the fabric on the headstock too?

If you have an electric drill, get a piece of dowel and staple some sand paper to it (along the edge of the paper) and then wrap the paper round the dowel a few times. Put that in the drill et voila, one rotary sanding device. You just need to make sure you wrap the sandpaper the right way round the dowel to correspond with the drill, if that makes any sense. oh, and good luck

I've been using an M9 for a while now, and I'd agree with Ste that the drives, or at least some of them are really quite good. I'm not overly keen on the Mutron cloned effects tbh, and have put in a feature update request for a Boss FT-2, but I won't hold my breath. I owned a bass Pod XT Live for a while, and gave up with it quite quickly because it was too much hassle wrestling settings out of it. The M9 is completely the opposite
Hi all, I've got a Johnny Brooke Jazz bass to give to a good home.I am rather attached to it as it was my 1st bass & my wife bought it for me,but it's sat in the corner gathering dust. It's in perfect working order,no dings or knocks to speak of.I took the scratch plate off & painted a rather good skull with a top hat & monicle on it,didn't put it back on,and i've since lost the screws. Also,i scratched "Johnny Brooke" off & replaced it with "Odd Bass" (Decals). I would rather this bass went to a youngster who is keen to learn.so if you have a budding rock star son/daughter/grandson/granddaughter,please PM me. Collection from Cheltenham,Gloucestershire. Cheers
If you were prepared to post (at my expense obviously) this would be ideal for my daughter. She plays classical guitar and sings, but has started her first band (at 13) and can't find a bass player - they even have a drummer!, so I'm encouraging her to play bass and sing. This would be ideal.

I wanted one of these for sooooo long, they're a great piece of kit but I'm just not using it, so I've decided to move it on. I'll get some pics up but it's in as new condition, boxed with original PSU, manual, CD, usb cable. Could be interested in trades, but I dunno what for particularly £280 + shipping

This is such a shame. My condolances to all
thanks for the suggestion Steve but TBH I think the GI-20 is a good piece of kit that will really deliver for the recordings I want to make - though I'm sure this is a great bit of gear as well - if this is still up for sale in a couple of months I may well be interested but please don't wait for me as I simply don't have the dosh right now. Cheers Mike
No worries Mike, I'm glad we had this convo actually, I'd forgotten about the auto scoring possibilities of the unit.
Yeah of course, well if you want to meet up at all, even further down the line (I still need to try the ACG preamp) then we can have a bit of a mess around then. I would be fine with the M13/gator for the M9/woodstock assuming I'm happy with the woodstock
The ACG will hopefully be ready end of Feb/March, so if we sort out to meet up sometime after around then. In the meantime I'll get some pics of the board tonight at practice.

Hi Mike I've connected to my PC via a cheapo usb/midi converter to test for direct note input with Finale Notepad (it was one similar to this one), so it doesn't need an expensive interface, but I've no means of testing it with a Mac

Good stuff Mike, could I be so crass as to point out I have a GR-20 for sale in the effects forums?

Why do people keep requesting tabs in this forum?
It p1sses me off also.. I find this section one of the most interesting ones, but those 'tab ones' just put me down.. Can't we sort anything for those tab-lovers?
we could burn them!
I just think there should be a 'complaints about transcription and tablature' subforum to keep this one from getting cluttered up by complaints about transcription and tablature
-
