M9 Gas

Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts, I pulled the trigger on one of these today, watch this space.....
6. Thanks for the comments fellas, I'm really stoked with this set of pics, it's ending up better than I imagined. I just need to stop tooling round with the spec and leave Alan to work his magic now
7. update from Alan, wow, can't stop smiling
8.
MB1. Hi Steve! Think you might need a pic of this!.. the RC is the Big Serious one?
Hi Martin, how's things? Yeah, it's the big one, pics to follow
9. I am seriously considering selling my RC50, complete with manual, PSU and box, to fund a line 6 M9. It's had very little use since I got it from dabootsy on the forum, and tbh, if another method appears for me to fund an M9 (like hitherto unknown relatives appearing with cash xmas gifts ) I'll hang on to it and give it the time it deserves. Looking for £250 collected, can post at buyers expense. I would also be up for some kind of trade for an M9, but little else Now withdrawn, don't need to sell it anymore

M9 Gas

I have to say none of the comments have particularly put me off getting one, in a worse case scenario I suppose I could keep using the mammoth clone or even run the m9 through a blender until an update was available

anyone else have any experiences regarding bottom end dropout with fuzz/drive/disto patches? This would be my primary use for it tbh
12.
BOSS POD XT LIVE, top of the line floor eq pedal board that does it all. V good condition, comes with pod carrying case, power supply & manual. One led out but this does not affect it in any way, works perfectly. Sell £100 plus postage.
which LED is it that doesn't work?
13. I could do with some suggestions to get my hand warmed up quickly too, we don't always have the opportunity before a gig, and we're opening with riff raff and hysteria at our next one
14. Very nice looking bass mate. I'm surprised you didn't suss it out tho'
At the time, although he was unaware of what was going on, she asked him a few subtle questions until she knew enough of what he liked to be able to give me a good template to work from.
if my wife ever asked subtle questions about bass design (I wish ) it would definately arouse my suspicions
It really is a great unit, i thoroughly enjoy using it just as much as my band enjoys hearing it. I love a couple of fuzz sounds that i tweaked with for agggess, but generally speaking they're not GREAT, certainly not as good as the delays, reverbs, modulations etc.
If it's possible to get some decent fuzz/drive sounds then that sounds quite promising
You can come try mine if you want sometime. These units are great they do so much and sound so great. Just can't go wrong with them
cheers Ste - I'll take you up on that when my ACG arrives, then you can try out the preamp if you still not had the chance

M9 Gas

gassing for an M9, but I can't decide if I really need one - hopefully someone will have some opinions of how it performs on bass in a band situation I've heard samples of some of the more 'esoteric' models, but I wanted to know - can it do a reasonable gated fuzz a la woolly mammoth? (the facial fuzz model maybe?) what about drive, grit and grunt effects? tia
17.
I roughly follow the guitarist, but do runs from the root note instead...I feel it locks in better with the drummer
ta, i'll give that a try tonight
18. My band has done this a few times live, and I always follow the guitars in the chorus to keep the song going - our drummer does the mad fills like the album version, but I feel if I played the bassline as it is recorded, the chorus could degenerate into a mistimed mess. Anyone else play this live, what's your approach?
19. Hi Al, I've had no experience of GK, but i used to use 2 hartke 210XL's, (arranged as a tower, 1 driver wide and 4 high) and they were great - cut thru two load guitards without any problem with IIRC and ampeg svt3pro (I at least i think I had both at the same time) I only changed them because I built my Omni10.5s, which are ridiculously light and loud and sound ace
20. I built one using BC109 silcon transistors that sounds great with my active trb, and less good with my passive aerodyne jazz
21. can't help I'm afraid, but what a top song
22. I've read that soaking metal parts in pcb etchant will make them tarnish, I've not tried it myself tho'
