1. Don't need this now, so it's up for sale. Been used a couple of times, in as new condition with box, cable etc. I'm looking for £65ONO shipped or trade for a looper or pedalboard, with appropriate cash adjustment.
2. I've decided to move on my franken P as I'm playing six strings exclusively, there are in progress pics as well as completed pics in this post. I'll get some more pics up when time permits. It's a stunning looking bass with a nice low action. In summary - lovely figured maple fretboard - two piece swamp ash body - piezo bridge - dimarzio model P pickup (i think, definately dimarzio tho') - vol/tone control for pickup/bridge - 9v homebrew preamp for the piezo but all the details are in the thread above. As far as price goes, I'd be looking for offers around £250, but I would be interested in trade for a fretless I would be more than happy for people to come and have a look and a try out (in facy I'd prefer it really) ta edited to change trade options
3. I had one just like this, the only bass I should've kept. Lovely
4.
I used to gig as a solo bassist
where did you do the gigs Dan? I'd be interested to see some solo bass stuff live
5. I have the need for a tap tempo footswitch, which can also output a midi time clock for another pedal, does anyone know of such a beast, or of a schematic so I can buils one? I can't even find a schematic for a midi clock generator online that I can modify. Any help would be appreciated before I fry my braincells trying to build one from scratch using a PIC
6.
I like the tele control plate dude, very classy Eude
my thoughts exactly
7. One of the best I've seen on here for a while IMHO, the headstock is a piece of art all by itself. I'll be lurking in the recording thread waiting for a vid or two!
8. well I'd be up for a few if someone wants to buy the lot and then spread them around a bit
9. can you do a video of you playing? the only thing I can think of (but i'm no slapper ) is that your slapping the string over a harmonic, or maybe not hitting the string cleanly and damping the fundamental?
10. great stuff bilbo, i'll have to give that a go.
11. very nice Mike, what effects are you using on the solo bass sound?
12. I liked the middle bit a lot, there was some really nice bass playing going on, but it was overwhelmed by the trumpet, which was a bit intrusive IMHO. I'd love to here a minimalist remix sans trumpet. The beginning section wasn't really my kind of thing, altho I'd have to echo the earlier sentiments about how well it was executed.
13. looks good, I like the idea of making the ramp from a dummy pickup
14. I've got one of these that we use for recording the band. We've had some great results with it.
15. wow, that's going to look fantastic
16. can't hear the bass on my laptop speakers, but hahahahaha, that guitarists hair!!!! rofl
17. I've always had a soft spot for that Hudson, it's never come up at the right time tho
18.
If you want the musicman tone and Pedulla style you're far better off getting someone to build you something to that spec than speculatively modding your current bass Rob
+1. You could also have a look at the preamp options as mentioned above. Definately don't rout the Pedulla.
19. I like it.
It fits with the image most Jerzy players have
what image Toasted?
20. wow, that looks great, you must be very chuffed
21. great stuff, the contouring looks ace
