1.
what does the expression pedal do? How much does the pedal cost as a stand alone item?
IIRC it swept the filter parameter, but it was a while ago
2. pics, as requested....
3. I used to have one, I really liked it but had no use for it in the band I'm in so I sold it on. Very easy to use, and you could use any expression pedal with it AFAIK (i used a £10 bespeco one at the time) The only potential downside is it has quite a large footprint.
4.
Unfortunately I think you’re going to run into a number of legal issues here. First, to be classed as a small lottery/raffle the prize fund (purchased or donated) cannot exceed £250; and second, all tickets must be sold on the night at an event or single location. Territorially/geographically I would doubt the standing of an internet forum to meet the definition of location. Private lotteries/raffles, with a more sizeable value/prize fund, must either be sanction by the Gamming Board or the relevant local authority (further there may be a requirement to notify the Police). With respect to these lotteries/raffles tickets may be sold in advance, but the value of the ticket is limited – and the current valuation exceeds the statutory defined maximum face value of a ticket. (There are further requirements with respect to the issue and format of the tickets, which would raise further matters.) Theses issues, and a number of others aside, the primary issue you will face is that a lottery/raffle cannot be run for private gain. Again, I would have my reservations that a raffle organised along these lines would not be construed as being for private gain.
why don't we just go ahead with it anyway, and not tell anyone? Stuff the bloody gaming boards and local authorities grrrrrr erm, I'll have a ticket tho'
5. Is the crackling just when you turn the volume up, or is it present all the time at higher volumes? If it's the former the volume pot might need cleaning with contact cleaner, if not, you'd prolly need a tech to take a look
6. In excellent condition, complete with Line6 gigbag and PSU, but no manual. I'll get some pics up later if anyone needs em. Selling because I don't really use it and I've just bought something else.....
7. I've signed it, but I did wonder why they want address details - probably so they know where to send the blackshirts to for some intense political debate at 4o'clock in the morning
8. I used to have a matching cab
9.
My money is on this one, http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/yamaha...o0o0o0o0o0o0o43
I'd agree. I have the 6 string version and they're really nicely put together and very playable.

12. how about my cort fretless?
13. what kind of things are you lookng to px for ste?
14. take a look at your technique and the position of your bass, you could experiment with your bass at different heights to see where the most comfortable playing position that didn't make you look like a dork was. It's a compromise between left hand comfort, right hand comfort, and looking like a tool!
15. I'd love one of these, but they'll sadly be out of my reach for some time to come
16.
There a clip of me playing on youtube somewhere, we're doing The Conga and I come in 4 bars too early. A song I've played hundreds of times before and the one time its recorded for posterity I f*** it up. No abdicating that one!
link please
17. Thanks for your thoughts, I saw an immaculate one on ebay sell at £470 (see this ebay page) but in general I agree with £300 - £400 I think I'll set it at £325 collected but I will prolly aim higher if it goes to ebay

19. not had experience of a transporter cab, but I used to have two 210XL's and they were great sounding cabs, I sold them because I wanted to build 2 omni10.5's (which I still have)
20.
Good to see it's arrived safely!
+1, hopefully everyone will be happy with this oh and nice bass
21.
your item will be subject to unnecessary delay for the next 3 weeks pending the addition of vat and an outrageous handling charge
that's what happens to me Seriously tho' that's a nice looking bass - are you going to order the darkstar from fred?
22. Since I'm keeping the starfire, I've decided to move this one on, I don't need two shortscale basses Pics are in this thread It is full of mojo (i.e. genuine dings and wear, and the bridge is pretty tarnished in places) and there is a fair amount of fret wear (its a well used 37 year old bass!!!), but it has a fabulous tone, especially acoustically I took out the original pup and controls (which I still have and will include in the sale) and put in a kent armstrong blade g***ar pup wired straight to the output jack. I think one of the pots has been replaced since they are different sizes, but everything else is original AFAIK. Not sure what to ask price wise, so I thought I'd see if there were any offers/ suggestions on price
