2.
hi mate how much would shipping be to london? regards ziggy.
I generally have a look on ebay to get an idea of shipping costs, but there aren't any, so I'd guess around £20 - but if I can find out the weight I'll get an accurate price from interparcel
  3.
The final Bass won't have this neck on it at all Steve Ian hasn't got time to fix it before he goes away which is a massive shame! He really does have a lot to sort before he goes. I think he also mentioned that when he eventually does attend to it, a new fingerboard will have to go on, which I can understand, as I'm sure this one won't survive being taken off! But you are right in a way, when the bass is finished with a neck, it's going to sound awesome!! Si
that's terrible mate, if the neck plays anywhere near as good as it looks, I'd have been inclined to send it to someone else to get it sorted (obviously no disrespect to Ian intended)
  4. dark star's acquired.... I need to buy obi's graphite 'ray neck-type-bump
  5. Wow, that's absolutely stunning mate - shame about the trussrod, but it's only a further delay, at least you already know it'll be worth the wait
  6.
are the piezos switchable or adjustable, I am not a fan of very toppy stuff so curious
IMHO (I have 2x 10.5 with 2 piezos in each) the piezos add clarity rather than too much top. The cabs are very deep without being boomy - someone should buy these
  7.
so what we have here is a market frozen through lack of credit. it someone had credit they could buy steves cort, then steve could buy the neck..... hmmm Gordon brown might buy the fretless...
I'll send him a PM
  8. If I had £200 i'd have it - the only way I could achieve that is if someone bought my fretless.....

    Dilemma

For me its definately tone, I traded my precision for a stingray recently - the P had the nicest neck I've ever played, but the tone was a bit too passive (not in the active/passive sense) for my liking and situation. The rays tone sits really well in the mix, and while the neck isn't quite as nice, I've adapted to it now. The P just wasn't getting played because I wasn't happy with the sound. This will obviously all change within a very short time of course when I start gassing for something else
