  1. @Steve Browning I am exactly the same. A 100% P bass player, had lots of rays and I love the look of them but can never get on with them. Pre EB, brand new etc and it just doesn’t matter I just can’t get away with them. However every time I hear someone else play one I’m blown away at how great they sound and wonder if it’s worth another try. It never is 😂

  2. Almost brand new, withdrawn to have another go but I just prefer a bank of pedals. Comes with all instructions, cables etc. Velcro on the read but easily taken off.

No trades ta and postage a tenner unless you wanna collect it from Hexham.

    Ah yes, cheers.

Bass Monkey has just put an exceptionally clean ‘72 Precision up on Facebook today too, but I can’t link it here. It’s not on their website yet. That’s someone of this parish is it not?

It is me, I will get it on over next day or so. The 71 P is a beauty too

  4. Now £750

Bought on here ( see original listing below ) and it is a damn fine but if kit. I just prefer my heavy valve amp. Comes with Bergantino bag and cables too.

    Price includes U.K. shipping.

I’d agree with that. Added to which is the near certainty that however much you spend on a Wal, you’ll make money when re-selling it (much less likely with an ACG/ Fodera/ Alembic), it’s an ‘80’s era Wal - which does add kudos, and if it’s the one I’m thinking of then with those facings it’s unique.   Probably a realistic price, currently.

Yeah I have just taken in 2 Wal basses as a trade ( 82 & 83), both beautiful and ultimately for sale as thats what I do. Having played them both they are amazing and I see what people mean about their sound. But to the normal person it's just a bass, don't suppose it matters the flavour. To others its a must have bucket list bass. Horses for courses. I know the guys at Bassbros had one in just sold at £8k I believe.

That’s quality provenance and manufacturer backup. Impressive. FWIW, I think they’re better the way the necks are currently fitted.

Yeah just been i. For a full clean and set up when they were swapped over. I’m in full agreement of they way they are now, been playing the fretted almost all day, sublime! Hoping no one wants to buy it 🤞

IIRC, this swap was the subject of a thread some time back.

Yep and registered with Wal as carried out too. I have the print out receipts for the work. Easily reversed should someone want but I think they’re better this way around.

Good to see you again Paul.
Never thought I’d be without a wal again but they’re too good to be kept in cases.
Needs must and the need is Motown and Soul atm.
The Grabber might be a little more punk but the Precision was calling 😄

The Bag Ends are set back up and I’m going to get my ‘Duck Dunn’ on

Yeah those Bag End cabs were damn fine! The Wal are both beautiful mate and yeah I agree the both definitely need to be played. The Modulus though, that was never going home with you 😂

Enjoy the P and the Ripper mate, both stupendous basses and with flats obvs.

    Catch up again soon dude
