  1. Barefaced Super Twelve ( not 12T ) In great condition and comes with cover too. Great cab but no longer needed. Collect Hexham or can meet up somewhere. Delivery possible too. More pics tomorrow. Barefaced info- Barefaced Super Twelve We know that a good 4x10" is a fine thing The ported betweetered 4x10" revolutionised bass amplification back in the '80s. Since then drivers have become more potent and enclosures have become lighter, and thus the best of the breed can handle most gigs without needing tons of power to drive them, whilst being relatively easy to move. But we want to take the pros of the good 4x10"s and leave the cons behind So what's great about a good 4x10"? High sensitivity - it doesn't need much power to rock out. Tight but solid lows - not deeeeep like the Big One but more than enough for many bassists. Good midrange punch so you cut through the mix. Sweet characterful higher frequencies if the woofers, crossover and tweeter are well matched and designed. Tons of thermal power handling prevents thermal power compression and tonal changes. And what's not so great about a good 4x10"? Squat shape makes it harder to hear onstage and harder to carry through doorways and up narrow staircases. 2x2 woofer arrangement results in less than ideal polar response so the sound varies more around the venue. Excursion-limited power handling is far lower than the thermal power handling, so the lows can't keep up with mids when you're properly loud. DIMENSIONS 30" H x 19.5" W x 13.5" D 76cm x 48cm x 34cm WEIGHT 40lbs/18kg (Super Twelve) BROADBAND SENSITIVITY 102dB - louder than many 4x10" cabs USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE 37Hz - 4kHz RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 150-1200W RMS MAX CONTINOUS BROADBAND SPL 130dB - Louder than most 4x10"s and many 4x12"s NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 4 ohms
  2. And rightly so on all counts 😂
  3. Amazingly I was in until I bought that bloody Lull this morning 😂 Still I think 3 days is my record!
  4. Just completed an under the radar deal with Ian. Super quick easy deal and paid just as quick too! Quick ride down to Lake District for a shady truck stop meet up 😂 Great guy and nice to chat all things bass! Enjoy the best pre out there and remember it’s ok to like flats 😂 🤘
  5. Mind kudos goes to him for playing it so well 😂
  6. Yeah a fair bit of interest but nothing concrete yet.
  7. They aren’t heavy and an easy one hand lift. They are class, someone close to you must have one you could try? To be honest you’d not regret just buying one
  8. Ashdown ABM600? Valve Pre and always sounds amazing. I have one, in fact I have had 3! Always chasing something better and it always comes back to this. Its just excellent, sounds great, not heavy and the back up support from @Ashdown Engineeringis just epic! Im sure you could pick up a new one around the £700 mark, or a second hand for a little cheaper.
  9. Absolutely lush. I’d be interested if it was in the UK, stupid Brexshit!
  10. A wise wise move mate. He’s incredible and does all my finishing too. Oh and he’s a top guy to boot!

    Sold

Unfortunately some people like the sound of their own tapping on a keyboard and can’t wait to spout crap on for sale posts. It happens a lot and we all know the main culprits. Ferk em mate
  12. Merry Christmas Dudes and Dudettes! 🎄
  13. Yep Brand new Fender Nate Mendel Sig neck from Stratosphere in the States. Cost almost £380 imported.
  14. No idea but you could walk under the strings! It wasn’t great and couldn’t be saved at all. The new neck I think has reinforcement rods in it as it’s bullet straight with little flex when laid flat on the bench. Maybe they changed the design at some point?
  15. Yeah that’s right the Nate has a 40mm nut, modelled on his 71 P bass and it’s much comfier to play. I do have one for sale atm actually mate ta. I’m also putting together a 73P with a Lakland USA Jazz neck as I kinda like that combo.
  16. Now £850 posted in UK also trades/swaps of Barefaced Big Twin 2T or Six 10 are of interest For sale my Fender Signature Nate Mendel Precision Bass. This one used to belong to Scott Divine and is in many videos etc. It was given away as a prize I believe. When I bought it the neck was horribly twisted / bowed and truss rod was maxed out. Unfortunately the guy I bought it from took it as a trade and the previous owner was less than honest! It now has a brand new neck and it’s in tip top condition again. Probably THE best P bass for the money. This one is a Gen 2 with the Fender Himass Bridge and also has the brand new unplayed neck. Strung with TI Flats Collection welcome in Hexham and comes with the Fender soft case. No trades.
  17. Bought Peters lovely Lakland neck, he even travelled up to the cold North to do the handover! Good to finally put a face to another username!! Thanks dude
  18. pic of my board with the GLX on top right corner. Amazing bit of kit
  19. This ^ By far the best on the market IMO and I’ve owned a fair few. My only concern was the lead from pack to bass was a bit thin but better ones, again IMO, are easily sourced.
