Some VERY good news at last - live music back by the Spring?
walshy replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
We are gigging tomorrow, down in Worsop, max 150 people ticketed gig. It’s inside though which will be interesting and then another up here next weekend. We had 4 cancel for next 4 weeks but all rescheduled and 2 new ones taken to fill cancelled ones which is handy. People are desperate for music. -

My work in progress from Dave. Please remember he doesn’t like heavy relic finishes but he’s made an exception for me 😂 . I’ll post pics of finished bass next week after it’s had some time to settle.

He’s busy doing a refin on my 1966 P Bass now, with a P Bass of Doom look. I wouldn’t use anyone else for a paint job. I’m sure others are bloody good but Dave is just epic. I have had 6 or so done by him and each one is fantastic. Happy to supply pics to anyone who’s interested

Awesome man, bet it felt good! I can’t wait for next week, it should be quite cathartic! -

First one next Saturday, outdoor festival socially distanced of course. About 30 in the diary now so keeping my fingers crossed it all goes swimmingly! -

Sorry dude. I tried to get it back from the shop too but they’d sold it minutes before.

Last bump at £2300 inc U.K. delivery before it goes to Bass Gallery. Sale preferred. Roll up roll up, everything must go 😂😂 Ok so this is out of my secret stash of basses I thought I’d never sell. My 1975 Gibson Ripper. What a machine ( I have 3 )! Obviously an iconic bass used by Krist Novocelic of Nirvana, Gene Simmons et al these basses are killer. Bill Lawrence designed Super Humbuckers with 4 way pick up selector all fully working and adjusts easily. The tonal options are fantastic, it’s not a one trick pony! Frets are good and neck is sublime. It’s been used so shows signs of wear of course, it’s a bloody 46 year old rock machine! All completely original and no neck issues. The pick guard I would say is a replacement but it’s pretty damn good. Strung with DR Sunbeams, I forget which. Weighing in at a mental 3.55kg and comes with an original case. You choose from blood red or sexy purple. Collection available and all test drives welcome. I can ship in the U.K. with my man with a van. This means it arrives in one piece! Sale only and no trades thanks.

Yeah @EBS_freak has covered everything you need to know.

It will be like this, the one I should never have sold 🤦♂️ P Bass of doom! Unless Dave Wilson has another idea.

Fender Nate Mendel Precision 1st edition. For sale now £875 plus shipping Absolutely amazing basses ( I have 2 of course ) and deservedly raved about across the globe. Probably THE best signature model out there, especially for the money. This one features the Badass II bridge, Quarter Pounder pick ups, FF neck plate, hang tags and Fender gig bag. Neck is super stable, adjusts both ways and is that lovely middle ground between a Jazz and full fat Precision. Swamp ash body and it’s 4kg on the button. Now strung with brand new DR Fat Beams, rehearsed with them once for 3 songs in drop D. No trades Collect Hexham or arrange your own courier, I can pack safely. I can also ship to your door safely for £50 with my man with a van courier.

Is correct. Mr Wilson is amazingly good! He’s done a fair few for me now, second to none. Happy to hook you up @bubinga5
