Chance to win an Alpher Mini Mako - And support musicians
walshy replied to Crawford13's topic in General Discussion
Aye I bought tickets too. Great guys down at Alpher. -
So I absolutely love a P bass, this is the current crop with another incoming from @Beedster Some vintage ones (65 and 66 ) some bitsa, some custom builds and a couple of Lakland Bob Glaubs. I love them all! I mainly gig the Black Lakland and the 66 CAR but they all have their own personality. Is 11 or 12 too many? Thoughts of thinning the herd chill my blood 😂

So, I am now custodian of Owens rather splendiferous Bergantino IP310. What an absolute beast of a cab. Owen was tremendous throughout the deal, even telling me that I didn't really need it but that made me want it more 🤣 Brilliant comms, superbly well packed and delivered 24hrs after posted. Top banana fella.

Build your own/put one together and you’ll get exactly what you want. I build them and also have 2 of @Beedster builds along with many, many other P basses 😂 If you want a decent P bass today that is excellent value and sounds and plays like a P Bass should, buy the Nate Mendel in the classifieds. I’ve had a few, still have one and they are exceptionally good. If you don’t like it, you’ll not lose money on them either.

Ha aye Tuffnels probably. They just chuck it up the A1! It fixed up ok eventually. This would take me about 5 minutes to sort. Great cabs -

Up for sale my 1974 Fender Jazz Bass with a Black finish in very good condition. Used to belong to Simon Rix of Kaiser Chiefs. Maple neck and fingerboard with pearl block inlays and White binding. Other than some touched up solder and the missing metal covers this is all original including the case. This is an excellent bass, with a nice slim neck. I personally love these Maple neck Jazz basses. This bass has tons of tone and the sound is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings with loads of top-end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together. The body finish has play wear with a few larger scuffs around the edges and some lacquer checking. The neck is very clean and the binding is all intact. The frets are very clean having been dressed recently and have plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight. Fully set up with a fresh set of Rotosound round-wound nickel strings and a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Serial:618625. Weight: 9 lbs 10 oz. Nut Width: 38.2 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.5 mm. Sale only and collection ( socially distanced ) welcome or courier too.
