  1. Yeah, may be the same one. Had tonerider pups in it. I have replaced them with Fender CS 60, John East Retro Deluxe pre and a strip down and refinish. Was for a band that wanted me to use a Jazz, however it never panned out and its P basses all the way for me ( oh and Modulus 😂) Cheers man
  2. Has a few people asking if I’d part it out. I’d rather sell/trade it as a beautiful bass if poss.
  3. Another nice deal with Paul, bought his excellent Quilter as my back up! Cheers again mate 🤘
  4. Up for sale my home studio Helix Stomp. In excellent condition but not using it on my board, loving the simple valve tones, so may as well go to someone who can use it. Comes in original box, power lead etc... £10 UK postage or collect Hexham.
  5. Thanks mate, yeah some can be snug but ours are normally canny big!
  6. No afraid it’s not, most of ours are up in Northumberland. Couple of pics, even made a few two storey ones!
  7. I have my own company making bespoke Shepherd Huts, kitchens and furniture. Big woodworking workshop hence why I’m making some basses and stuff now. Anyone needing some workshop space is welcome to come and use it too!
  8. Another easy deal with Ryan for my Barefaced cab. Cheers mate and enjoy bringing the noise!!!
  9. Bought a bridge from Mike, super simples! Cheers man
  10. La Bella Low Tension Flats Came off a CS Pino and nicely used. £25 posted
  11. Yep probably as I’ve never noticed it and sounds great.
  12. Just grubby I think. Works fine but I’ll clean em tonight
  13. Up for sale a fab Nate Mendel P bass. I think everyone knows about these things. This is the first edition one with Badass Bridge. In pretty excellent relic condition as it’s been fairly well looked after but gigged. Comes with a generic hard case. I can courier no problem or collection most welcome. No trades ta.
  14. It does mate, I had about 50 pics along the way, he's super picky and explained everything. Couldn't have been an easier or better outcome!! The guy is epic
  15. Honest the blokes amazing, especially the paintwork. It’s such a perfect LPB colour and the matching headstock is killer
  16. Can’t say fairer than that 👏👏👏
  17. Ok so I suppose everyone knows I like a P bass 😂 However, I didn’t have a LPB and have always wanted one, GAS increased when I played @wateroftyne stunner at the impromptu bass bash up here. So, the decision was made and gathering of parts started. The only person that could carry out the painting, and subsequently the building was the superb David Wilson 🙌 Tea was drank, decisions were made and off he went weaving his magic. I also had a P Status neck and fancied a Stealth Bass so thought he may as well do that while he was on 😂 The result is incredible. I’ve only had them a few hours but they are magnificent. Many pics of the paint process were sent to make sure I was happy, I mean it’s flawless and LPB so it’s mighty! The swamp ash was a pain, needing extra work and the neck was more than fettled, but it’s 1/4 sawn so strong as an ox but needed some finesse! It’s handy he lives not far from me and my workshop but I reckon that’s just a bonus, his work speaks for itself! So, a few pics of the beautiful basses below for you to peruse. I also managed to nab a Bob Glaub owned by Nate Mendel today too ( Pretender video😉) So that’s snuck on one pic too. What a fabulous day 🤘🤘🤘
  18. Yeah I’ve had this issue too. Was actually just talking about this to a well respected luthier last week. Need lube before they’re screwed in 😉
  19. I think I was always a maple board kinda guy, didn't matter what the bass was, as long as it was a maple board. I liked the brightness and anything dirty rosewood coloured wouldn't get a second look. However after 30 odd years playing all the basses I love have rosewood/ebony boards and will always be the ones that go to gigs/get noodled on at home. I have a couple of home built maple P basses that I like as I built them but no doubt if I need to sell they'll be first on the chopping block. So the darker the board the better for me now!
