Ok so this is up in the For sale section too so putting it in here as can split for parts if required? Its been sitting doing nothing so rather someone did something with it. Here we have a fairly decent P bass, put together some 6-7 years ago. Selling as a whole but could sell off parts instead but it’d be a shame. Body Candy Apple Red - similar quality to Squier or Fender Japan poss circa 1984. In pretty excellent condition. Scratchplate stamped 1984 Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder Pick Ups CTS pots 2012 Generic ‘oriental’ neck and tuners? Happy to take offers on the bits or whole lot shipped to UK is £200. Collect Hexham of can ship.

That’s exactly how mine is wired up so you can have full on P, J or both. Makes a big difference. Oh and it’s up for sale too 😉😆🤪

Yeah I'm a recent convert to these too, on most of my P basses. I love 'em, kinda best of both worlds and they last a while not being bright at the beginning. Not that expensive either so worth a shot.

So, I’m thinking about a new head, Class D with a valve pre....

Yeah didn't get on with my DG head, it just wasn't what I thought it would be ( couldn't try before I bought) but other rave about them so horses for courses! The Quilter was pretty damn mean for the size and did the job. I coupled that with a Two Notes and it was mega! -

Excellent stuff mate. It’s a killer bass for sure! Finally got my holy grail bass in sight, hence the huge cull of stuff. I’ll send pics when it’s here ( it’s not a jazz😉😂) -

Aguilar DB751 Just an incredible head, not light but man that sound!!! Orange 4 stroke 500w now as back up into either - Barefaced 610 or Big Twin T - either is mighty! Both super light and that makes up for the not so light head. Ultra reliable, can do any gig size I throw them at (up to now) and the sound is my sound/the sound I was after. Always with an old P bass, just killer.

Cheers, probably the most talked about thing on my posts 😂

This is my Pino bass. Well it’s a 1970 original (Bar the paintwork) and a lot less coin than the GAK ones! Looks the business thanks to BassDoc for sorting it out 👍 Just got it back today 😍

Originally sold however issues with nut and neck figment/alignment so money refunded. Now back up for sale after work carried out. For sale my Music Man Stingray with Status graphite neck! Killer slap funk machine this one! 3 band Bartolini preamp and Nordstrand pick up. Refinished body date stamped 1990. Small scrape on body too. Work carried out - Just had nut built up, full set up and MOT. Plastic shim alongside neck pocket to allow the Status neck to fit as it should and strings run nicely. The shim is only double sided taped to pocket so should an original neck be refitted this can be removed. All checked out and work done by BassDoc so it’s as good as it can be! Been playing it today and it’s a really nice thing. Weight a shade under 4kg and balances well too. Collection and test drive welcome. No trades thanks. Courier no problem either.

Dingwall to try?? Within about 50 miles of Wigan.

I was the same, had two now and both excellent basses and yeah about 5 mins and all is good. You do then wonder why all basses don't have fan frets! -
