    For sale my Music Man Stingray with Status graphite neck! Killer slap funk machine this one! 3 band Bartolini preamp and Nordstrand pick up. Refinished body date stamped 1990. Small scrape on body. Selling as I’ve bought my 1980 pre EB back from Mark! Weight a shade under 4kg and balances well too. Sale only, no trades 👍

    Andy bought a rather lovely bass from me at the weekend. Travelled up, tried it against his other bass, and a few of my other too. What a nice fella, super easy deal. Exactly what it should be on Basschat. He's fairly new-is on here (so lots of GAS to come) but I'm sure he will be buying more gear now so please trade with confidence. Cheers dude!

    Absolutely it matters!! I have spent a while searching for 'the sound' I have and I am absolutely 100% happy with what I have (no GAS yet). Nice 68 P bass through a pedalboard to my Aguilar DB751 and Barefaced 6x10. Cost me a few quid but after the gig last week a guy came up to me and said ' Man, what a beautiful sound you have, the tone is amazing...' etc... THAT makes it worthwhile to me for the money invested and the time I have spent to get it right in the house and the band situation. I'm sure I could get away with other/cheaper gear but this works for me, so the investment and outcome are worth it.
