  1. Yeah I'm a recent convert to these too, on most of my P basses. I love 'em, kinda best of both worlds and they last a while not being bright at the beginning. Not that expensive either so worth a shot.
  2. Awesome cabs these 🤘
  3. Ha ha , yeah I’m fairly impressed so far. Only home use so not ramped it yet. Dont think this will hang round especially at the price dude, sorely tempted still myself!
  4. I would have bought this last week without question but got the Orange 4 stroke 500 instead.
  5. Yeah didn't get on with my DG head, it just wasn't what I thought it would be ( couldn't try before I bought) but other rave about them so horses for courses! The Quilter was pretty damn mean for the size and did the job. I coupled that with a Two Notes and it was mega!
  6. Excellent stuff mate. It’s a killer bass for sure! Finally got my holy grail bass in sight, hence the huge cull of stuff. I’ll send pics when it’s here ( it’s not a jazz😉😂)
  7. Hope it’s soon dude 🤘
  8. That looks lush! Love hardcore aged finishes 🤘
  9. Aguilar DB751 Just an incredible head, not light but man that sound!!! Orange 4 stroke 500w now as back up into either - Barefaced 610 or Big Twin T - either is mighty! Both super light and that makes up for the not so light head. Ultra reliable, can do any gig size I throw them at (up to now) and the sound is my sound/the sound I was after. Always with an old P bass, just killer.
  10. Receipt from 1983 in Germany for the bass.
  11. Cheers, probably the most talked about thing on my posts 😂
  12. This is my Pino bass. Well it’s a 1970 original (Bar the paintwork) and a lot less coin than the GAK ones! Looks the business thanks to BassDoc for sorting it out 👍 Just got it back today 😍
  13. Cheers man, yeah different beast to a standard that’s for sure!
  14. In Hexham near Newcastle mate
  15. Originally sold however issues with nut and neck figment/alignment so money refunded. Now back up for sale after work carried out. For sale my Music Man Stingray with Status graphite neck! Killer slap funk machine this one! 3 band Bartolini preamp and Nordstrand pick up. Refinished body date stamped 1990. Small scrape on body too. Work carried out - Just had nut built up, full set up and MOT. Plastic shim alongside neck pocket to allow the Status neck to fit as it should and strings run nicely. The shim is only double sided taped to pocket so should an original neck be refitted this can be removed. All checked out and work done by BassDoc so it’s as good as it can be! Been playing it today and it’s a really nice thing. Weight a shade under 4kg and balances well too. Collection and test drive welcome. No trades thanks. Courier no problem either.
  16. I was the same, had two now and both excellent basses and yeah about 5 mins and all is good. You do then wonder why all basses don't have fan frets!
  17. Sold my Roscoe beck to Peter. As easy a deal as you could hope for. Quick payment, great comms and another deal thats a credit to all here on Basschat. Enjoy mate
  18. NOW £1400 inc UK Delivery Open to Trades May take a PX Dingwall / Modulus / Old P bass, Flea Jazz, Stingray etc...something cool etc.. cash either way too Well here’s a thing of beauty! 1978 Fender Precision in original Dakota Red with an added Dimarzio Jazz pick up making a cracker of a PJ Bass. The best of both worlds? Possibly! Welcome to come and try of course and shipping anywhere available. At around 5kg not for those frail of back but it actually feels fine not heavy when it’s on and playing. Sounds meaty too! 42mm at nut. Comes with hard case Can ship or collect Hexham
  19. Cool I’ll have a google mate cheers
  20. Got nothing bass related today so pulled the trigger on an Orange 4 Stroke 500 as a gift from me to me 😂 Arrives Friday
  21. Well, the deed is done. Anyone point me in the direction of a decent case for it? Take it I can get away with a shallow 2U?
  22. Sounds well that dude. Well they’re down to £439 for the 500 so I’ll be pulling the trigger on that later. Just need to sort a case for it next and jobs a good un!
  23. I was looking at these last night, sounds like the kind of head I’m after. Not a bad price either
