    I guess it isn't something I really think about. I suppose I've never had a strict practice regime or anything - for me it takes away from the essence of music.

    Why do people use compression? Is it really necessary? I would look into buying one if I could see the point in getting it for live use.....I can see why studios use them, obviously, but live?

    Where do you get blank rack strips? I just bought a 4 unit rack (it's bloody massive, a big warwick heavy duty one....probably should have bought the ecoline one, oh well, at least the stuff will be protected) and I only have 2 units' worth of stuff atm......I am planning on adding a tuner in a few months but I need to fill the gaps until then.

    Can I ask how much it was? I am thinking of getting a 5 or 6 string fretless soon, and I live in Holywood (you know, just outside Belfast, over the hills from Ards etc) and I dunno if Status basses are in my price range (1200-1300 TOPS). Cheers. Beautiful bass, by the way.
