Hi there! Has anyone ever tried those pickups? I own a Sandberg JM5 (ash body/maple neck) and just wanted to change something with the sound. Currently, the Sandberg has Delano pickups and a 2-band Glockenklang preamp. The combination of Delano and Glocken makes the Sandberg a really bright sounding bass. I need more power in low-end and low-mids with natural high.

Hi guys! I'm so sorry I haven't written for sooo long. I feel like I owe you an explanation. Finally, I fixed all the problems! Well, I sent my amp to an electric engineer. He checked the amp and here's how he fixed it. He cleaned all connectors and synch the power amp - I don't know how to explain it in English. The problem with standby was caused because the phantom button on the effects loop was pushed. I don't use any effect. That's why I always noticed bang when plugged a cable. Hope, it's helpful. Best regards

Thanks bassjim for your message! I should definitely go to a whizz for help but as you know it's the Christmas Time so I can't afford it. I looked for a similar problem on the internet and here's what I found:
EBS told me to replace them (or send the amp back to EBS so they can replace them) or use a non-lubricant cleaning solvent to clean the contacts. The sound described in the first post is the exact description of the sound I get when the jacks aren't properly put in the effects loop or tuner out.
Thanks for the response. May it have bad impact on speakers' condition? I'm afraid of it.

Hi guys, I'm a proud owner of an EBS TD650. I don't know the year of production but it's older than 5 for sure. Last time when I was playing at home I noticed something that disturbed me. When I was playing quiently I noticed a distorted farty sound, especially when twitters were turned on... I use a pair of brand new Aguilar DB112 cabs. I levelled gain properly. I even tried to roll the gain knob back but it didn't help. At high volume the distorted sound is not noticeable. When I roll the gain up the distorted sound became more noticeable, although the led didn't clip. Another thing is that when I plug my instrument into the amp I can hear a noisy rustle, though it's on standby... I checked all my instruments, cables and they're fully functional. Have you ever heard about the same problem? Any solution? Cheers!

If I were in your shoes, I'd consider a pair of Aggie cabs
-
I've seen footprints on tweed cabs as well When it comes to the white finish you're probably right. That's why I bought covers
-
Tweed is great when it's new! I felt in love with White Hot finish.
-
I bought it last week so I believe it's new version. Both of my cabs look the same.
-
Thanks, man! I know, I know. I use it to connect my second cab but I don't have another speakon-speakon cable at the moment.
-
Hi there! Do you know which one is the input?
-
I'm wondering if you guys have ever tried to combine these two cabs? I'm looking for a second cab to pair with my Aggie DB112. I've been focused on another DB112 but I've found a real bargain for an Aggie GS112

Aguilar DB 410, 212 or 112x2 with Genz STM 900?

Hi guys! Have you tried to pair the EBS TD650 with any of these cabs? -

Hi guys! I've solved the problem! I've recently bought an Aggie DB112 and played with my SM400. I was confused cause the sound wasn't that I expected. Today I met with my friend who owns an EBS TD650. The Aggie under the SWR sounded like rubbish... The EBS just ate its challenger! The sound I could get from it was just incredible and amazing!

Hi there, I'm so sorry I haven't written for a while. I've had an accident on motorcycle. Finally, I've raised the action and compared my basses. A Squier VM which I've had for 4 years now is less comfortable and it's harder to slap than Sandberg but is punchier and has more low end even though there are pretty old strings on Squier. I have to string both basses with the same strings and see what will happen. Cheers!

My first video blog... Maruszczyk Jake P-bass review
Thanks, everyone. Ha! I'm willing to be corrected - where am I going wrong? :-)
You're not going wrong, actually. In Polish language the 'r', 'sz' and 'cz' are just stronger pronounced. Your 'y' sounds more like Polish 'e' to my ears - you pronounced the schwa (phonetics) I think However, you pronounce it very well! I don't pick on you, I just like languages and phonetics -

Nice vlog! The pronuncination is almost correct -
Thanks! What about Dunlop's, how long do they sound? I decided to go with the Elixir strings because of they long life.
-
I recently bought a set of Elixir strings and put it on. I used to use D'Addario nickel strings.

I'd like to thank you all for your thoughts and advice! I wouldn't have even expected that you guys are gonna be so helpful. Once again, thanks a lot, it's very nice! I'm on holidays now but when I'm back I'll make a setup then try with mids. If I find an old set of 45s strings I'll try them, otherwise I'll buy new ones and see what will happen. Hope, I won't have to sell the Sandberg and buy a Stingray or a Fender When it comes to Aguilar... I'm waiting for a message from Ben from Cardiff who's selling an AG500 So sorry for my English, I come from Poland, actually

I've got a maple fretboard (unfortunately?). I really like ultra low action but it may impact badly on the sound indeed. Moreover, the light strings may escalate the effect. There's a sense in your reflection, thanks man I've chosen the super light strings because I like their tension.
