1. Must admit this is the first time I'd heard TBS, as a band i was in a couple of years ago kept on being compaired to them so i never did check them out. Not what i expected them to sound like. More mainstream that i thought they'd be, but not a panch on someone like rival schools.

    prose bass

No wear on the neck at all, not headstock heavy at all. No gig bag, but i would post in something suitable. I raised the action a bit as it was a bit low for plectrum use in my eyes.

Its a great bass, but im not sure its for me really. If it doesnt go i'll probably fit some emg's of some kind.

There is a large variety of tone to be had, but i like the sound of a more standard sounding jazz if that makes sense.
Swap for my barely used mint peavey 2x10tvx and 115 bw cabs? I can't get on with a standard jazz and this may just serve up the beef i need! What is the body made of? cheers, rich
I think the body is ash, not really interested in speakers. but i's swop it for an ordinary jazz of some sort.
  12. Heres the link with some history,http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=53283 change of amp plans forces sale. Open to offers, but would also swop for a standard type jazz etc
What cab is that? The offset speakers make it look like a Barefaced Vintage.
Cab is home made using dimensions from a late 80's peavey 215d bw cab , which also had offset speakers. Made from 12mm wbp ply so a lot lighter than the 2 1x15 peavey cabs ive been using which were 18mm chipboard.
Never seen one like that before, i.e. with 'Musician' written on the front of it...normally it says 'Bass' there instead. Is it quite a rare model?
I thnk its a guitar head, but have also seen it refured to as a guitar/bass head. Unbelievably loud, also has the advantage over the normal bass head of that era in that you can use both channels at once if wanted.

    Peavey gear

Ive had mainly stuff peavey for the last 18 years other than a brief spell with a 135 fender bassman (great tone, but didnt like the distortion at volumes past 6) svt pro 3 (sold to finance other things) always rock solid re pairable and cheap on ebay, the last 2 ive had a late 70's mark 3 and late 70's musician guitar head both got for less than 80 quid. And because of that not trendy !!!!!!

    DIY cabs

Put this together over the last couple of days using 12mm wbp ply and 20x20mm bracing. Not going to cover it until ive used it in a band rehearsal on monday. Had a few rattles yesterday from it but have since braced the inside back. Dimensions are roughly the same as a late 80'2 early 90's 2x15 peavey 215d bw cab. weight wise i'd say it was around 55-60lbs. A lot lighter than th 79lb 1x15's ive been using.

    DIY cabs

Thinking of making myself a 2x15 cab, currently using 2 1x15 peavey cabs fitted with black widows. But the cabs are heavy and im sure to big, the cabs are 19" deep which im sure is a good 3" deeper than the older peavey cabs.

A long shot what about an allparts precision with jazz neck, seymour duncan quarter pounder and stand jazz pick up in the rear. Downside it has some fret wear and a buzz from one of the tuners. Plus a boss bass flanger and a set of mexican p bass pick ups that need new covers .
