  1. Look at it this way. if you know 3 chords, you can only use 3 chords. If you know 4 chords, you can use 4 chords, but nothing is stopping you using only 3 of them...
  2. not if you have the extra frets like wot my basses do. The relationships remain the same:
  3. You mean one of these:
  4. what are 'the rules', and why the assumption that someone who knows musical theory can't also 'break' them?
  5. I used Bax last year. Got a great deal on an end of line/last one guitar case for a Les Paul. No problems at all. Sad how things change.
  6. Or a baseball cap and some exotic felines...
  7. In that case I'm in!
  8. There is absolutely no point AT ALL in getting a double shouldered strap, that does not let you do this:
  9. 2 x 12 user here, but my speakers are wrapped, so the cab has a lower footprint.
  10. many years ago when I played classical guitar, I used clear nail varnish, and always had an emery board.
  11. It's a good job I think most Wal's are fugly, so I'm not affected 😝
  12. Got an outdoor gig - beer garden - next weekend, and a club gig in September. Apparently the club will be issuing tickets to monitor numbers.
  13. @Kev we're doing this one for free. The venue is one of our regular gigs, so we are happy to help them out.
  14. You say that as if it's a bad thing 😉
  15. The only reason I got rid of mine, was because I was living in a top floor flat, with no lift. Carrying it up 6 flights of stairs was not fun!
  16. Gigging is a major part of my social life. I see my mates, we have fun, I get paid, plus all my gigs tend to be within 30 minutes from home, so what's not to like?
  17. I've been trying to find a Thunderbolt 2 hub or adapter. They don't seem to exist anymore! 🙁
  18. Many years ago, I bought my new-to-me USA Fender Precision bass, for the princely sum of £150. Maybe it was the sign of the times, and my young age, but it never lost the wow factor for me, as in 'wow, I own a proper USA made Fender bass!' which of course made me love playing it, and want to play and gig it more. For me, I don't think I could ever have the 'wow factor' from a MIM.
  19. I had the 350w version. Built like a tank, never let me down, loud enough for any gig. Heavy though 🙃
  20. i have various OBBM cables, so need never replace what I already have
