  1. Funnily enough @Happy Jack has a double bass, that could be converted into a wheelbarrow 🙃
  2. the trust issues are quite telling, with her not feeling comfortable using the shower. #metoo fail?
  3. Exactly. Billy Sheehan said 90% of what he does, is being the bass player in a band.
  4. back in the days of recording from a record to a tape, to learn a part, we had to learn by ear and find out the hard way if the bass was not tuned to standard pitch, or if the speed of the record player was ever so slightly out. Great training for the ear, which I almost completely lost when I had a couple of years out. Took me a while to get it back - use it or lose it. I do wonder if it makes a difference to those who have always learned songs from clicking on a YouTube video and having it all on a plate (as it were)?
  5. didn't status do this kind of online choose your own bass options type thing about over 10 years ago?
  6. My Shuker's were custom made to my measurements. So for example the bottom of the body being wider, for where I like my arm to rest on it, plus the various contours, and belly-scarf.
  7. Awesome 😎 And thanks for the thread 😃
  8. or possibly a mild sense of satisfaction for a job well done.

  12. hah! would love to have the option! There is a bendwell for the other strings next to the extra 2 frets.

  14. custom Shuker's.
  15. This.
  16. i'm another who in answer to the OP, can genuinely can say 'mine'.
  17. France has a policy/law that a certain percentage of music broadcast has to be in French, thus encouraging the development and success of French musicians in France, so if musicians are not coming in from the continent will this not be better for UK musicians in the UK?
  18. Big fan of Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Poison back in the day, but tbh none of them have done anything in close to 30 years that I know or would want to hear. 30 years! The Stadium Tour has been announced in just the USA at the moment, but as they are already adding more dates, a trip to Europe seems likely.
  19. Why? Will they be unable to get a visa? I would assume any cost would be tax deductible?
  20. Can't narrow it down to 3.
  21. Bauhaus They are my best mates favourite band, and I never got them. Not sure when it clicked for me, and I realised how good they actually were. I saw them on their first reunion tour 14 (?) years ago, absolutely awesome gig.
  22. As a metaller at the the time, I quite liked the earlier stuff,Like Tone Loc, and Run DMC, because they tended to rap over rock loops/tracks. This before an established career path leading to clothes lines and acting roles. What i've never understood about the development of 'Gangsta' rap is the juxtaposition of violent/sweary lyrics, over laid back, mellow music. Public Enemy had brutal lyrics with backing music to match, which made more sense to me. But it's not my scene, so maybe I'm not supposed to understand it.
