    Xvives for me too. The only problem I've had was interference from the guitarists wireless, which went away when we changed channels. No lead is one thing, but no plug is real winner. Charge each unit and they last 5 hours.

    How it possible this is happening? I'm guessing that people doing the sound for bands during stadium tours, must among the best in the world at what they do? That being the case they have the knowledge of sound issues in stadiums, and how to rectify the problems. So is it that they just don't care?

    No interest in music festivals, but don't mind a Biker rally, which is essentially the same thing but with motorbikes.

    Apparently esteemed bassist and producer Youth, had an open sale at his home studio in South West London in February. Did any Basschatters go?

    Hats? Covers up the baldy heid, and if you use stage lighting, necessary to stop unwanted glare and reflection from said baldy pate.

    Great thread! First bass was a Westone Thunder 1A borrowed from College. First owned bass Ibanez Blazer bass. First bass amp? Gotta think about that... Probably a god-awful Marshall 100w Guitar & Bass head. I think I paired it with a Peavey Black Widow cab.

    This was suggested last night at rehearsal, so we jammed it and it didn't sound too bad. Got the dots and song so gonna attempt to learn it ''properly'. Even so, still reckon there will be an element of improv. Norm eh? He's a bit good...

    Enjoyment of last night's gig was somewhat marred, by Timothy Taylor's Boltmaker no longer being a guest ale.

    It's at the menders at the moment. Regular readers may know that my Shuker's have an all in one pup cover/ramp/thumbrest which runs from the neck to the bridge. I'm having a similar thing made, but one that is detachable and won't ruin the finish.

    An update to this. At the gig mentioned above, for some reason during the mad panic to get set up, the combo had been placed on a stand. I've done several bass gigs with it since, at similar size venues, and with the combo on the floor the volume has been set at 3 to 4, and the power sponge at 50w.
