  1. "It doesn’t have to be in English to be good, does it?" I think the world of opera would agree.
  2. Just seen this thread. I'm in. But I do have a Shuker currently being built.
  3. A cover though, not an original.
  4. Have you heard of The Australian Pink Floyd Show? They are playing the Albert Hall during their next UK tour. Bjorn Again, play Hammersmith Odeon, and Sheppard's Bush Empire, size gigs where they tour.
  5. Angels with dirty faces. - Cab Calloway - Sham 69 - Los Lobos - The Sugarbabes
  6. So What - Anti Nowhere League So What - Pink
  7. Beast in Black It's like the last 40 years never happened. This is a good thing! 😁 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4waVZXKE0GU
  8. At halftime they bring out a mini Sunday lunch, platters of roast potatoes, sausages, onion rings, etc. All free 😀
  9. I think the most ridiculous thing, is when punters try and ask the vocalist something, halfway through a song while the vocalist is singing.
  10. I once saw a Coldplay tribute band (not intentionally) and the best reaction they got was when they came back for an encore, and did 'I believe in a thing called love' by The Darkness. True story.
  11. Yup. The Darkness, the first time Frankie left. Got a really nice personalized email from the Management, thanking me for my interest, but they'd already got someone.
  12. Gigged it on Sunday. 4pm to nearly 8pm, with a one short break. Sounded great. String tension fine (after finally changing strings). As mentioned earlier, I'm used to playing with a ramp/thumb rest, also having something to rest my arm against. So for me, not having this did make the gig a bit of a struggle towards the end. I don't think pick players would have any problems. Anyway, to clarify, the Snapdragon Folding Bass, is a capable gigging bass.
  13. Sunday afternoon gig. 4pm kick off, one short break, and we played until nearly 8pm. Great pub, gets full of punters up for music on a Sunday afternoon. First gig for my Snapdragon Folding Bass. It did the job admirably, even though I'm used to playing with a ramp.
  14. Watched it a while ago. As already posted no mention of Ken. Also not mentioned, was that just like back in the day, there was an extra drummer.
  15. Couples that watch Jools Holland’s Hootenanny doomed to split
  16. Bros. First time around anyway, Ken and a session guy.
  17. At least they haven't got U2 on the board!
  18. This is how all band sackings should be done!
  19. I have no competition
  20. I saw Cliff when he headlined Wembley Stadium. Cracking gig. He is of the generation who put on a show and entertain the audience. In reply to the OP, IMO it is because for some people being a musician/performer is not what they do, it's what they are.
  21. i'm gonna buy Granny a gas cooker, and myself some broad band.
  22. And don't forget to buy through a cashback website if at all possible.
  23. In terms of Radio - which I only listen to in the motor: TalkSport Classic FM Absolute Radio Radio 4. I wouldn't say there is an 80/20 split between Classic & Absolute.
