1. so I've had them since last week, and have mainly used them around the house. Being wireless without having to plug in the receiver is so convenient. I play through a digital modelling amp (Peavey Vypyr VIP 3) and created some mightily f/x heavy sounds, and there is no noticeable latency. I've A/B'd them with a lead (OBBM) and there is no noticeable loss of signal or volume. I just used them straight away with the charge they had from the factory, and they finally died at band practice last night. Nothing slow or intermittent about it, one second was fine, the next they were off. Well the transmitter anyway. Because of it's position under the guitar I could not see what if anything, happened to the power light. I'm gonna charge them tonight for the first time, and take them to an audition I have tomorrow. Initial verdict is I'm loving them, but I need to see what they are like at gig volume, and also I want to find out if the power light gives some kind of low power warning.
2. I wonder if the band Blur, have a song called Tremble? Liked the bass tone/playing.
3. I had one of these. Marshall lead and bass head. I'm not sure in which world it actually has 100w rating. Nasty transistor fuzz for guitars, and entirely lacking in bottom end for bass. Heavy too.
4.
just listened through headphones, the mono versions sound better to me, more heft ,
yup, i thought that too.
5. OK, when I get a minute I'll give it a go.
6.
I keep on coming back to these. They're not that bad you know - I'd have one.
I don't think they look too bad either, although they don't immediately scream Gibson. I like the 2 octave neck, but would have to play one first.
7. As you can see from the pick, the bridge tuner for my D string has a screw sticking out. It was not like this when I restrung a couple of weeks ago, but now the D string tuner is almost impossible to turn. Is sorting this as simple as detuning, screwing the screw back in, then retuning? Undoing the strings at the headstock is not possible as they are clamped and cut.

11. Quite interesting that there is still 'Fender magic' when Fender is just a brand. All they have are Leo's original blueprints and the trademark. Still I suppose it's a pretty big 'all'

13.
It's arrived! Wooo!
the box is tiny isn't it?
14. The major scale, but learn it all over the neck. Once you know that, you've got all the modes. For example if you learn the C major scale, use the same fingering pattern, but start and finish on D, hey presto you're playing a Dorian mode. Same fingering pattern but start (and finish) on A, hey presto you're playing an Aeolian mode - or natural minor scale. Lots of fun to had discovering the others...
15.
I therefore proclaim, NO BERT WEEDON - NO PUNK!
'Play in a day with Bert Weedon'. Is this not espousing the quintessential punk music ethic?
16. Mine arrived today too! It was waiting for me when I got in from work. Took it to band practice and it works, and kept me in tune with the rest of the band. Definitely not built like a tank (etc) but I'll just look after it. Yup £2 very well spent
17. Update from Jon: The lacquer work took a bit of doing but is all built up, it required a quick level and then a final coat to smooth things out. He built up the coats with gloss in the end, its actually clearer then the satin (for some reason as its the same stuff but with an additive to make it satin) so that helped to maintain the white look, rather than it starting to go ‘vintage’ looking.

22. £115 from Amazon. It was the only place I could find who had them in stock!
23. I've bitten the bullet and ordered one. I play through a modelling amp, or digital multi fx through an amp, so I'll let you know how it performs.
