3. what's the control layout?
 4. a couple of pics of the pup cover/ramp/thumb rest. John has left space for another pup if I decide to move pup position.
 5.
The ones that receive a lot of money?
fixed
 6.
Do I really have to say this? Pics or it didn't happen!

+1
 7.
As far as bass playing goes, funk is by far my fave genre - and Louis Johnson my fave player - and if I had dosh to fritter I'd shell out the two grand or so you'd expect to pay for an EBMM Stingray. So, as I haven't I'm weighing up the Sterling Ray 34 vs the S.U.B Ray4, the 34 being more than twice what you' d pay for the Ray 4. So, where does the 34 score so much more highly than the Ray 4? And while on the topic how much better is the real deal than the 34? cheers
The deal breaker for me with my Sub was the lack of contouring. Depending on how you play this may be issue. It was for me.
 8.
Can I assume that you have confused a euphemism with a double entendre?
no, I wouldn't want you to blow your own trumpet. It takes a lot of brass to do that.
 9.
That had better not be a euphemism.
if you want a euphemism I can give you one?
 10. Am I alone in enjoying the trouser flapping goodness on stage through my bass cab? I would love the convenience of not having to take it, but can IEMs give the full body bass experience?
 11.
Thomann are now showing them at £1001 (exchange rate is hurting now) and not back instock until Sept 21st.
The sad little gear snob inside me, does baulk at the thought of paying a grand for a MIM.
 12. In the past I have gigged expensive basses and a cheap no name Asian origin bass. The band didn't notice any difference or care and the audience certainly didn't. My current beater is a Charvel, which is a great bass I would be happy to gig with, except I need 24 frets so its my Shuker that is used.
 13.
Equally, people who have never tried Barefaced before (which I'm sure there are several) shouldn't be commenting at all!
what about people who have never tried Barefaced before, but gig regularly in a band with a bassist who has been using Barefaced for a number of years, thereby having some experience of Barefaced sound (on stage and FOH) at various gigging levels (indoor and out), and with different amps (ss and valve)? Should they be allowed to comment?
 14.
Nick Lowe quickly learned not to criticise Billy's guitar skills....
Hard, but fair.
 15.
pointy headstock - check chunky body - check 80's style - check good for metal? - check
I used it at rehearsal yesterday and can confirm it is indeed good for metal
 16.
If the space is there why don't you have the Eb and D frets going right across?
On Shuker 1 the space is where the bendwell is, so not possible there. But I want to keep in standard tuning, I'm not sure I could get my head around 2 extra lower frets on all strings!
 17. Latest from Jon: Ok on the pickup, the ramp is about 5mm wider each side than the pickup housing so its kept to a minimum and a good ‘anchor’ for the thumb! Heres a few pics of the body, all routed and carved, drilled etc. I’ve got the rout for the pickup ramp to do, then its spraying time!
