1. Take a look at what The 'Stones, U2, Cold Play, etc. did for their last photo shots. If you see something they did that you like do something similar.
 2.
Not any more
Posted too soon
 3. GAS is getting the better of me. If they do a ' January sale' at the Black Friday price I might be interested again. Definitely not interested at the current price.
 4. Lemmy (to the sound engineer) : "Can you hear this horrible sound coming out of my monitors ?" Sound engineer : "No." Lemmy : "Neither can I. Turn me up !"
 5.
Bad news. A bit like Keith Richards, I had almost got to the point of thinking he was immortal. Sadly not.
Yeah, its one of those RIP's you never think you'll read. Saw them on the Alice Cooper\Joan Jett tour. They were loud* and awesome. * states the bleeding obvious! RIP Lem. 6. Good review very useful. Can you add to it when you gig it?
 7.
So does this mean we need to work out which bass is best for each particular sub-genre ?.
Funnily enough, the only difference between Glam metal (as it was at the time) and thrash metal basses, was just the colour. For example both genres used spikey BC Rich types, but whereas bright and day glo colours were part of Glam, black and dark colours tended to be thrashed. IIRC back in the day there was a BC Rich ad featuring Poison & Slayer.
 8. If not for Vernon Reid messing him about, he would be bassist for the 'Stones.
 9.
I like both. Maybe do a cross genre - Death Hair Metal.
Celtic Frost - Cold Lake
 10.
Looking very good. I'd prefer a P neck, but hey.
Hey indeed. For me P body, but J neck, is the way to go :-)
 11. Does 'medium' scale count as short scale My Shuker is 30" but it has an extra 2 frets Kubicki style. Being a short are it suits me perfectly.
 12. Nice, always though these look good in white.
 13.
I've never heard that and know people saw them and worked with them. Any evidence?
As Lydon charted the early part of his childhood, featured in his new book Anger is my Energy: My Life Uncensored, there was a surprising vulnerability about a man known more for puking on stage in the 70s punk era Read more: http://www.gloucestershireecho.co.uk/Cheltenham-Literature-Festival-punk-rocker-John/story-23110650-detail/story.html#ixzz3uoxSmN58
 14. That thread where the OP was told he was wrong for liking what he liked, and was told what he should like
 15.
I think it's forgotten now, that as part of his 'act', Rotten would actually throw up, on stage.
Who was the poor sod in each venue that had to clean it up?
 16.
Certainly kings of outrageous behaviour (very comical at times) - sad and pretty awful at times.
I think it's forgotten now, that as part of his 'act', Rotten would actually throw up, on stage.
 17.
Heil PR40 is a good contender - but if possible take a DI also.
as I said, DI not possible. No DI out and if I put the bass through a DI box it will be dry through the PA, as the amp modeling and fx's are generated by the head. There is a digital out - for recording - but this cuts the sound to the speaker.
