1.
I'm sure Akai would have something to say about it all.
Doh! Meant Akai. Typed Akai and it must have autocorrected to Korg
 2. Me too, but only on the computers at work.
 3. There's obviously demand for the original Deep Impact pedals, if Korg don't want to make them anymore why don't they let someone else under license?
 4. I use one of these. Must have had it over 10 years, done all kinds of gigs with it (big/small, indoor/outdoor etc) on bass and guitar, and its never let me down. Quality bit of kit. GLWTS.
 5. There have been periods of my life where money was no object and I was able to buy what I wanted. But the only answer to the OP is: The next one.
 6. As requested, more pics.
 7. The Ox took bass playing as far as it could go and that was in the 60's. Then Larry Graham took bass playing as far as it could go and that was in the 70's. Then Billy Sheehan took bass playing as far as it could go and that was in the 80's. Then Victor Wooten took bass playing as far as it could go and that was in the 90's. Etc. I think the point is, there is no such thing as taking bass playing as far as it can go.
 8. Laws were tightened in the USA after the same thing happened at a Great White gig in Rhode Island in 2003.
 9. £299.99 Since getting my Tele, this is no longer been played. Cracking quality guitar. Has been played and gigged so a couple of dings the worst of which I have tried to show in the pics. 10.
I like the way the retro vibe disguises the techno beast within. Good work sir.
Me too
Have you tried the Ernie Ball "Not Even Slinky" 12s with a big fat plain G?
Not yet, but I will now!
 13. I've heard some of the album, I like Billy's playing, but don't like his tone.
 14. I bought a rather nice JP Squire Tele from Jamie. Item as described, he made sure it arrived quick, and it was mightily well packaged. More than happy to do business with him again
 15.
Evening all, I'm looking for some Good recommendations for a decent multi effects unit similar to the Line 6 Bass pod Xt live or the Boss GT10B? These are two i quite like the spec on but they don't seem to be very easy to come by? I've seen the Rocktron B300 Utopia on Thomann that after a brief look seems fairly close spec to the line 6 but i've never heard of them and wondered if anybody have any experience with them? A new project is going to require some quite heavy effects and I want a decent effects unit i can use whilst writing and doing some live stuff as well as having the USB interface for home recording. I also know a lot of people will say to steer clear and stick to individual stompboxes but for what i'm after a multi effects will be better due to the variety its going to give me whilst experimenting, Just need some advice on a decent unit to look at. Thanks Alex
Digitech BP355 Wouldn't be without mine. Does all you want and more. Has drums to play along with, and even a nice selection of guitar amps should you feel inclined. Under £100 too!
 16.
I`m curious - why did the original speakers get changed & why change them for a different brand and type? Are the Q values etc the same for the new drivers as the originals?
I bought it from Mike (now of Purple Chilli fame) and after discussion with him about upgrading the speakers, these are what I chose. Power handling, weight, and that they sounded great were deciding factors.
 17.
What's the nut width?
4cm.
It's the guitar strings that get me. Nice fat bass strings (flats) are kind to the fingers, but skinny strings make them sore.
I use 11's on guitars, it's only the wound G String that is stopping me going heavier.
 19. Much prefer books on Kindle, but prefer my music on paper. Also much prefer dots to tab.
 20.
There's a saying we use at work: "There's no 'I' in Team...
But if you look hard enough there is a 'me'. David Brent.

 22.
Did anyone else have a bass set up by Robert yesterday? He did my Yamaha TRB5 and it's absolutely brilliant!
Yup, he did my Iceni Zoot. Plays absolutely stunning.
