Well I get paid for playing the Dog & Duck, but it would never occur to me to describe myself as a 'Pro'.
Or even a good pro
I'd imagine there are "Pros" that couldn't be Pro and "Amateurs" that could be Pro. If you know what i'm saying.
Yup being a pro just means getting paid. Being a good pro, probably means you get paid more, and more often

DigiTech BP355. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Has bass and guitar amp sims, all kinds of fx, a looper, plus drums to play along to. Great sounds achievable for under £100. I have one and use mine for both guitar and bass. You're right about the product info not being too clear, but this has 20 amp sims, 9 of which are for guitar. http://digitech.com/en/products/bp355

8 years ago to the day, I posted this http://basschat.co.u...827#entry117827 The thread itself garnered some interest on a Duran Duran fansite http://duranduranboa...09/worth-browse -
The Next Generation Of Players To Inspire.....?
I haven't changed my point at all. My post that you quoted was in response to a post saying that age had something to do with it and about being 'stuck in the 70s' ... To which I replied ... 'I'm 64. I like Thundercat. It's got nothing to do with age. It's about being open-minded.' You responded ... Well, 'You like him because he suits your tastes' seems to be tautological. It sounds that perhaps you mean that 'liking someone' is no different from 'suiting one's tastes' and vice versa. In which case 'suiting one's tastes' cannot be an explanation for 'liking someone'. We would need to understand why and how it had come to suit one's tastes' for it to be any kind of explanation. Anyway, I still maintain that being open-minded makes you more likely to develop new tastes. In fact 'more likely to develop new tastes' might well be what we would mean by 'being open-minded' and so it's a definition or even another tautology. I then gave some further explanation of my position ... So, I stick to my original claim that 'age is only a limiting factor on taste if one allows it to be'. Better to be open-minded, whatever age you are, and listen out for new and old stuff. Even stuff you once didn't like, maybe you'll see it in a new light. And stuff you used to like, you can come to think 'it's not as great as I thought'. The post I responded to admitted to being 'stuck in the 70s'. But, anyway, your 'very strange argument' is actually not an argument that I made. I said ... my point was not whether someone or anyone, even you, ought to like Thundercat. The point was that being a certain age ought not to be a counter to liking or disliking him or anything else new (or old). I stand by what I said.
Oh no! People are disagreeing on the internet -
Ey up! Welcome to the forum! Always good to see another of the Yorkshire lot in here! It's pretty awesome that you've launched your own range, was it tough to get going? (For anyone struggling, I found the website: http://www.jowbass.com/en-gb ). Probably worth putting up a post in the main forums to get feedback.
Many of us have been saying this for a long time. In The States when disco music hit big in the late 70s, overnight it was no longer cool to go to concerts and see live bands. Blue
Except in the Tri-state area where Twisted Sister were continuously breaking attendance records for an unsigned band. -
I always seem town have trouble with Spanish bassists in my bands...
Mi novia española tambien tiene problemas con su novio escoces.

Can you remember the phrase 'BEA do good cheap flights'? That's the order of flats for your key signature's BEADGCF. To find out what key you are in, cover the first flat, and the next is the key. Just remember that one flat ( b ) is the key of F. If you can remember it backwards FCGDAEB, that's the order of sharps for your key signatures. To find out the key look at the last sharp, this is the leading note, or one fret below the key note (or tonic). So for eg. One sharp F# is one fret below G. So its G Major. Can you remember Major = - 3; minor = + 3? Then you can find the relative minor key. Each Major key has a minor key which shares the same key signature. So for C Major (easy because it has no sharps or flats) count back 3 - CBA - and the minor key = A minor. To find the relative Major, count forwards for 3, so from A minor - ABC - and its C Major. There's a bit more to it, but you're almost halfway there. Unless you want to get serous with theory qualifications, in which case you need to know things such as when Beethoven last washed his socks.

Take a look at what The 'Stones, U2, Cold Play, etc. did for their last photo shots. If you see something they did that you like do something similar.

GAS is getting the better of me. If they do a ' January sale' at the Black Friday price I might be interested again. Definitely not interested at the current price.
Bad news. A bit like Keith Richards, I had almost got to the point of thinking he was immortal. Sadly not.
Yeah, its one of those RIP's you never think you'll read. Saw them on the Alice Cooper\Joan Jett tour. They were loud* and awesome. * states the bleeding obvious! RIP Lem.
