1. John Lydon specifically states in his autobiography that the Pistols did not get a soundtrack . BTW my parents did know Peter Sutcliffe.
2. DI not possible with my amp/combo. No DI out, and as it's a modelling amp, a DI box would not be giving my sound. But the OP was about YOU and your Mic preferences!
3.
What sound are you going for?
Different sounds at different times :-)
4. Does anyone have a preference?
5. Any thread that is best for metal.
6. Honourable mention for Captain Sensible on the first two Damned albums.
7.
Gotta have me one of these!!!
Me too, but not at nearly €400.
8.
There are a few.. Paul Simonon, as he hasn't been mentioned yet.
Except in the OP
9. As Machine Gun Etiquette is still one of my fave albums, Algy Ward. Gaye Black Tony James Dave Tregunna

11.
No distortion in the sense that he doesn't use pedals. The fuzzy sound comes from the amps being cranked up.
IIRC in an interview with BGM he said no distortion just cranked mids.
12. Neds Atomic Dustbin had 2 basses. Lemmy plays 'rhythm bass', no distortion but lots of Mids.
13. what about those who do not have a Facebook account?
14. Not normally a fan of King basses, but that looks GLWTS
15. Bah! Woefully lacking in the properties of tone cardboard. No discussion of the differences in sustain properties between C flute and double wall. Do you get better mid response from R flute? If you're not taking this seriously you shouldn't bother
16. There's not enough love for Larry on Basschat, so here's one of my fave Graham Central Station songs, one of many that I have [s]blatantly ripped off[/s] been directly influenced by: and here's a solo. Cool as
17. Yup, like that We expect a review, after the first time you use it in anger.
18. Those sharp edges look like they will dig in to your legs after a while if you play sitting down. Unless you are buying a top end model, you will not be getting an Ibanez made in Japan.
19.
If you want to send it to me Simon I'll fix it for you.
Awesome. Thanks! Will pm you.
20. I've bought a fx pedal from the eBay. It doesn't work as one of the wires to the battery connection has come off. Is this an easy fix? The seller has said I can have a full refund, but I've been after the pedal for a while and they don't come up very often, so I'd rather keep it. Ta.
21.
yep. there is a noise source in the synth as well.
It gets even better!
22.
Well good luck, fingers crossed. I wont be there, but if there is a phone vote option....

23.
no what he meant was, that the intro music was done completely with future impact sounds...
ahh. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess it lost something in translation. Does he mean the drum sounds too?
