1. That thread where the OP was told he was wrong for liking what he liked, and was told what he should like
2.
I think it's forgotten now, that as part of his 'act', Rotten would actually throw up, on stage.
Who was the poor sod in each venue that had to clean it up?
3.
Certainly kings of outrageous behaviour (very comical at times) - sad and pretty awful at times.
I think it's forgotten now, that as part of his 'act', Rotten would actually throw up, on stage.
4.
Heil PR40 is a good contender - but if possible take a DI also.
as I said, DI not possible. No DI out and if I put the bass through a DI box it will be dry through the PA, as the amp modeling and fx's are generated by the head. There is a digital out - for recording - but this cuts the sound to the speaker.
5.
So how do you then get "my sound" out front even if you Mic it up? Does the pa have ampeg cabs out front?
haven't gigged with this combo yet. which PA?
6. John Lydon specifically states in his autobiography that the Pistols did not get a soundtrack . BTW my parents did know Peter Sutcliffe.
7. DI not possible with my amp/combo. No DI out, and as it's a modelling amp, a DI box would not be giving my sound. But the OP was about YOU and your Mic preferences!
8.
What sound are you going for?
Different sounds at different times :-)
9. Does anyone have a preference?
10. Any thread that is best for metal.
11. Honourable mention for Captain Sensible on the first two Damned albums.
12.
Gotta have me one of these!!!
Me too, but not at nearly €400.
13.
There are a few.. Paul Simonon, as he hasn't been mentioned yet.
Except in the OP
14. As Machine Gun Etiquette is still one of my fave albums, Algy Ward. Gaye Black Tony James Dave Tregunna
15. subscribed!
16.
No distortion in the sense that he doesn't use pedals. The fuzzy sound comes from the amps being cranked up.
IIRC in an interview with BGM he said no distortion just cranked mids.
17. Neds Atomic Dustbin had 2 basses. Lemmy plays 'rhythm bass', no distortion but lots of Mids.
18. what about those who do not have a Facebook account?
19. Not normally a fan of King basses, but that looks GLWTS
20. Bah! Woefully lacking in the properties of tone cardboard. No discussion of the differences in sustain properties between C flute and double wall. Do you get better mid response from R flute? If you're not taking this seriously you shouldn't bother
21. There's not enough love for Larry on Basschat, so here's one of my fave Graham Central Station songs, one of many that I have [s]blatantly ripped off[/s] been directly influenced by: and here's a solo. Cool as
22. Yup, like that We expect a review, after the first time you use it in anger.
23. Those sharp edges look like they will dig in to your legs after a while if you play sitting down. Unless you are buying a top end model, you will not be getting an Ibanez made in Japan.
