8.
I seem to remember reading that a few of the guys that auditioned were Doug Wimbish, Charley Drayton, Kenny Aaronson and Joey Spampinato. Wimbish already toured with Jagger and Spampinato had worked with Richards.
There's a YouTube vid in which Wimbish says he was offered the gig but had to turn it down as he was committed to Living Colour.
 9.
Can't wait to go again and ultimately to get into a band would be well cool
My band formed from them playing together at a jam night.
 10.
I remember the Bandits, thought they were ace, I'm sure this is the same good stuff.
I think the Bandit has one more knob on the distortion channel. Btw I weighed this again and it is 35lbs.
 11.
That is an insanely good price for a Chaparral with boomers!
ta! Bump.

 13. The Bitch on Bass, from Rockbitch. Played a fretless and did a mean slap solo.
 14. Early 90's active Hamer Chaparral. Can be played active or passive. Set up for shred so low action, plays lovely. I've had this since the mid 90's and used to have a Roland GK-3 pup on it, which is why the two screw holes by the pups (see pic). Usual dings for a 20 year old guitar which has been played and gigged. The big scratch (shown in pix) was there when I got it. It has been smoothed over and is smooth to the touch. Pickup or possible meet in that London, or wherever the Junkyard Dogs are playing. 15.
Whereabouts are you based? Thanks
That London, SW15.
 16. So I'd popped in to the Bass Centre in Denmark Street one Saturday, wanting to try a Peavey Vypyr VIP 3. They didn't have one in, but could order one. I said that I didn't know about buying it, I just wanted to try it. Laurence (sales chap) said they'd had a few enquiries about them, and that they would order one, and I could try it, and if I didn't want it no worries because it would be a cool thing to have in the shop. So the following Saturday I'm back there (after having received a text during the week) to try it. They'd received it on the Thursday but hadn't unboxed it, as they were waiting for me to try it first. This I did with a selection of basses, and Laurence even went to Wunjo to get a guitar so I could try that (VIP stands for variable input). They beat the internet price threw in a lead and free delivery so I didn't have to take it home on the Tube. Awesome!
 17.
Tiny bit of lemon oil once per year......job done.
Will a couple of squirts of jiff lemon do?
 18. Do we have to use expensive oils or will Mr Sheen etc do the job? Or is it a big no no?
 19. There's a bloke works down the chipshop swears he's Elvis.
 20. despite being a great sounding high quality cab - 2x12 but not much bigger than a 1x12 - it's not shifting. What do people think? Is the price too high, or just a slow market? Apparently we're out of the recession! lol
 21.
The guitarist in my old band has one of these and has used it non-stop for nearly 20 years. He's used it in 40 degree heat in South Africa and -19 degrees in Moscow (outside!) and has never missed a beat. Sounds terrific, relatively compact for its weight, really really loud and will go forever! If I didnt already use an AC15, I'd happily snap this up! Alex
loud, good sound and indestructible!
