1. Are you in the MU? Their contract checking service alone, is worth the subs.
2. and I bet the rest of the band never even noticed you had a new bass
3. Not thinking about getting one but still interested to read your review. Report back when you've gigged it!
4.
Very difficult, it will use a programmed chip, so it's basically a mini computer, you'd need the code and even then you probably couldn't do it exactly, and even if you could, you'd probably be breaking the law.
as Akai don't want to make them anymore I wonder why they don't license the technology to another company. There's obviously a demand for the product.
5. Wtf!? They were over priced when they were going for £300 a few years ago.
6. I'll be back. On Saturday 26 October to be precise at Ye Olde Swan in Burnham

8.
Do you mean the bell plate?
yup that's what I meant.
9. Are you keeping the metal plate or will you be changing it for a black one?
10. What a great gig to play. Can't make out the faces from the pic, who was there from the cast?
11. The Junkyard Dogs at Ye Olde Swan, Burnham . The Junkyard Dogs' first non-jam appearance at this pub, and it's 70's Party Time. This is Ye Olde Swan's annual Halloween gig, and it's a 70's theme this year. Fancy dress is encouraged, so plenty of hippy stuff, big collars, kipper ties, Indian print and (dare we say it) hotpants! I suppose you could be a 70's witch if you must. Should be great fun. 9pm - midnight
12. Sorry to be the one to say, but the pressure in now on, how on earth can next year's Bash top that?
13. Pub gig last night in Barnes SW London. Not too many there at the start but a packed pub for the second set. Hot and sweaty but good fun. We played one song twice as one of the punters was gutted he'd missed it when we kicked off the first set with it. So SE Bassbash during the day then gig in the evening, great day.
14. Gig was Friday. Not a great start, we were late on due to the football, some people who had come to see a band left the pub as they had no interest in the footy. So we did a 2 setter instead of the normal 3. Things picked up during the first set and by the second set the dance floor was full and I had a lovely view of totty boogying away in front of me.
15. I'd ask about the first gig he had when he didn't have to bring or set up his own gear. Bliss
16. Great guitar and price. Paul in the Quireboys sometimes gigs his instead of his Gibson.
17. It's still a bit confusing. I would have thought whatever output the bass is putting out, would be far less than what the fx unit which is powered by electric puts out.
18. no love for the BP355 then
19.

ok, I'll play fair. Simon Delancey
