1. did they tell the staff?
2.
Do you mean the bell plate?
yup that's what I meant.
3. Are you keeping the metal plate or will you be changing it for a black one?
4. Awesome, great momento of the day!
5. What a great gig to play. Can't make out the faces from the pic, who was there from the cast?
6. The Junkyard Dogs at Ye Olde Swan, Burnham . The Junkyard Dogs' first non-jam appearance at this pub, and it's 70's Party Time. This is Ye Olde Swan's annual Halloween gig, and it's a 70's theme this year. Fancy dress is encouraged, so plenty of hippy stuff, big collars, kipper ties, Indian print and (dare we say it) hotpants! I suppose you could be a 70's witch if you must. Should be great fun. 9pm - midnight
7. Sorry to be the one to say, but the pressure in now on, how on earth can next year's Bash top that?
8. Pub gig last night in Barnes SW London. Not too many there at the start but a packed pub for the second set. Hot and sweaty but good fun. We played one song twice as one of the punters was gutted he'd missed it when we kicked off the first set with it. So SE Bassbash during the day then gig in the evening, great day.
9. Gig was Friday. Not a great start, we were late on due to the football, some people who had come to see a band left the pub as they had no interest in the footy. So we did a 2 setter instead of the normal 3. Things picked up during the first set and by the second set the dance floor was full and I had a lovely view of totty boogying away in front of me.
10. I'd ask about the first gig he had when he didn't have to bring or set up his own gear. Bliss
11. Great guitar and price. Paul in the Quireboys sometimes gigs his instead of his Gibson.
12. Will there be BC merchandise to buy on the day?
13. It's still a bit confusing. I would have thought whatever output the bass is putting out, would be far less than what the fx unit which is powered by electric puts out.
14. no love for the BP355 then
15.

ok, I'll play fair. Simon Delancey
16. Anything pointy! \m/
17. Just wondering if using speaker cables rather than guitar leads would make a difference in connection my fx unit to the amp? It's a Johnson J Station to either an amp head or a power amp. Ta.
18.
60? SIXTY!!! This one will be as big as the last two put together.
size isn't important. Or so I've been told, which has sometimes been a great comfort.
19. I ordered a passive black Sub when they first came out (through a mates shop ) direct from Ernie Ball. 4-6 week later I received a maroon active Sub. This was sent back, and 4-6 weeks later I received a black active Sub. This was sent back. Another 4-6 weeks later I finally received my passive black Sub. No apology from Ernie Ball for any of the delays and cock-ups.
20. a bass is worth whatever someone will pay for it.
21.
The answer is....depends.
this. The average punter in the Dog and Duck isn't even going to notice let alone care. There could be an issue if you hear a noticeable difference in how you sound with your band, but it would have to be a pretty extreme difference for the rest of the band to notice what the bassist is up to
22. this again
23. started off with P's went up to Kubicki's (I seem to remember one which had 13 different setting with the 2 filters) but now my Shuker has one pup and just a volume pot
24. will there be a set-up masterclass? I suggested it last year, then missed it when it happened. Doh!
