1. Nikki Sixx running around, throwing shapes and posing. Yep thought I, I'll have some of that.
2. i'll play! here's a couple of shots of the Junkyard Dogs with me and my pinkburst Epi Jay Jay French Twisted Sister LP. It really is that pink.
3. Super low action here, and have a ramp too. No loss of tone.
4. The slap nay-sayers, would have done well to watch Urb when he demonstarted how in the right hands slap can be a tasteful addition to ones usual playing. It would be good if he was aked to do something a bit more formal as part of the day.
5. I've been told the bottom 2 neck bolts have pushed through a bit causing the dimples (or dots) in the pic. The neck is still solid, and there doesn't seem to be any iisue with the sound. Is this something I should be bothered about, and will it affect value if I decide to sell? cheers.
6.
well the proprietor can take sole blame for that! if they resent the tourist trap postcode so much (not to mention the astronomical shop rents) then move to somewhere else in town that is easily accessible but off the tourist track, then you know for sure that a significant number of the punters that cross your threshold are there because theyve made the trip purposefully rather than just wandered in off the street for a photo opp and gaze in wonderment at all the shiny grrr
this
7. The Junkyard Dogs being Clifftastic with a version of Move It. Including Happy Jack on bass, Macdaddy on pink guitar, and Paul the drums from the SE bash on drums. 8. i've been using power slinkys, but I've just ordered some Rotosound roto reds. Will probably try the D'addario's next.
9. I'm a bassist, but I'm playing guitar in a band - www.junkyarddogslondon.co.uk if you're interested - point is, when I was just a guitarist, the strings I used were 10's and I remember thinking they were thick. Having been a bassist I now use 11's. I'd use 12's but I often bend the G string and haven't found a pack that doesn't have a wound G. 10's feel so sloppy, and 9's are just unplayable!
10. Staff meeting...
11. wrong side of that London for me, but will try and catch you when you play west!

16.
I was just joking ... tg
yeah I got that, but i still reckon it's true!
17.
My practice rig isn't quite this big, but it's also less expensive.
but I would be willing to bet Geezer actually paid a lot less for that rig, than you did for yours.
18.
No idea th value of it. Give s a klooo
me neither!
19. i've been wanting to hear one of them. Have you managed to crank it up yet?
20.
At what point in one`s progression in learning the bass does one become proficient enough to play in a band? I have played in a couple of bands many years ago, but we were all new to the game so we made mistakes together. But the thought of now joining an established band causes a modicum of anxiety. How proficient does one have to be? I am thinking about a joining pub rock affair in the future, if I can find a local one, but I don`t want to waste their time and/or make a total tit of myself. How good are you expected to be on a first audition? Is personallity more important than abillity? If somebody sent me a recording to learn prior to the rehersal, then I could do that, but not sure if I could step up to the mark if I was just dropped in "Sink or Swim" style. Any thoughts?
I refer the honourable gentleman to the heady days of punk rock, which I feel provide an interesting insight in to this very issue.
21. my first bass not this one, you know what I mean. Quite light and plenty of bottom end. Have a happy reminiscant bump.
