1.
Thanks Ped.
this
  2. I was looking at getting one of those audio/USB things to plug my guitar in to the computer. Some come with basic amp sims and recording software and are not too expensive. But for a similar price I could get a new sound card with an audio input and bundled software. Which way would you guys go?
  3. now for sale. I've been looking at ebay BIN prices for these, and they start at £140.00, so how about £99.99 collected and I'll post it for a tenner?
  4.
I'd like to see a 'music off topic' and a separate 'off topic off topic'. If you see what I mean.
*would be pressing the 'like' button if there was one*
  5.
The computers not going to write the song for you....
not yet

    Behringer

there is a lot of gear snobbery surrounding Behringer. Like any company they can make good stuff and crap stuff. Add personal taste and price in to the equation and we have the continual Behringer debate threads I'm using a Behringer X Amp multi fx for guitar, in the band I play guitar in. It does the job (some of the fx are actually rather good) and nothing else that did the job came close to the price.
  7.
Am I the only person to have felt rather uncomfortable about the sight of multi-millionaire artists such as Sir Cliff Richards lobbying for a change in the law because they felt that 50 years 'protection' of their royalties was not enough?
possibly. Why shouldn't musicians have the same rights to their work as authors?
  8. hey, the bus 37 takes you from near yours to near mine LOL. We have other Basschatters from Brixton too. Have you been to BEM?
  9.
Nope! Sixx always favoured solid finish (dark coloured) Hamer Blitz basses. The striped (and polka-dotted!) ones were Hamer FBIVs (check my sig). Sadly, most of these are firewood now. P
I stand corrected. Would love to check out your FBIV, maybe the next Bassbash?
  10. If I introduce one to my signal chain to reduce hiss, will it also affect sustain? If you use one what settings do you use? ta.
  11.
This is a relatively cheap option - the Nikki Sixx Thunderbird £249 at DV247 http://www.dv247.com...ch-black--42168
Before his T's he used to play some lovely strippey Blitz's, after he moved on from spikey BC Rich's.
  12.
Where is MacDaddy when you need him?
you rang?
  13.
A white Hamer Explorer for full on 80s Def Leppard-ishness
that's his Hamer Scarab which he had through the Hysteria years. He had a lovely Hamer Blitz - Explorer shape - during Pyromania. Some poor deluded souls who have never quite gotten over the 80's still play these
  14.
I'm a big fan of the Schubb Talon. Holds the bass more upright than the Hercules and folds down really flat. But, like the Herc or more so, great for home and sedate rehearsals but... not to be trusted in a "busy" envioronment.
doh! beat me to it. I use mine on stage with no worries though.
  15. only 3 at the moment, but I have various guitars too. For me it's a space issue more than anything
  16. what do you want to change this time?
  17. I know I'd miss it if it was gone, but it's been over 3 years since it's seen any action.
  18. I love my rig, it's small, loud and sounds great and even has a cool blue light strip I originally got it because I changed cars, and the boot in my new motor was too small for my the PJB rig I had. Anyhoo, I no longer have a car, and previous bands I've been in I haven't used it. I used rehearsal studio amps, and DI'd or used provided backline for gigs. So for the last few years it has just been taking up space. So, I'm thinking of putting it up for sale or trade. This is probably another of those do I/we need an amp threads
  19. I bought this from a Basschatter 3-4 years ago, played about with it twice, and it has been in it's box on a shelf ever since. Cracking piece of kit, check out the Music Tech review: http://www.roland.co...he%20BR-600.pdf £99.00 and I'll post it for a tenner. cheers McD Edited for sale price.
  20. I'm playing lead guitar in Happy Jack's band: http://www.lemonrock.com/junkyarddogs last night was at The Barley Mow in Shepperton. Lovely pub good beer. Not much space, the bands are in a corner, but went well and had lots of people dancing for the second set.
  21.
I know of a bloke who, whilst adopting a similar pose, put the headstock of his Les Paul into a ceiling fan...
that is a mixture of and
Yeah, I can imagine how embarassing that must've been...
Apparently Stacey's Mom has got it going on.
