1. The Gibson Melody Maker range - Les Paul, Flying V, SG and Explorer, have a retail price of £445.00. I bought my Flying V from Musik Produktiv in Germany for £240.87 and this was with free shipping. The black and blue Explorer's are currently priced at £231.00, and all the other models at £235.00. All have free shipping, how can they be making a profit?
2.
Maybe Barnes-dwelling R-Patz will be there, drowning his sorrow after being cheated on by perma-misery vampiress Kristen Stewart? Sadly chaps I cannot be there, despite it being my neck of the woods too (keeping up the vampire theme) as i will be out of country. I know its an extreme way to avoid MacDaddy's spandex strides but a man's gotta do ...
that's a pity, as it will also be the first public outing for my flying V.
3. Bassballs. Auto wah-y and a bit bass synthy and a bit bass distortiony too. Spend a bit of time with it and adjust playing to suit, and it can be a very versitile stompbox.

6. Unfettered by leads and being tethered, for me there's no going back.
7.
It is not permitted to advertise instruments that your shop is selling on the forum unless you post it in the affiliates and hot deals section offering an exclusive discount to basschatters. I have removed your advertising links from your post.
it's not even white!
8.
Oh great work there Wayne, very nice.
+1 are you coming to the SE Bash?
9. Obviously this will not apply to those of you with the bug type transmitters, but I used to attach mine to the bass strap with a bit of gaffa over the clip for added security. These days I tend to just stick it in a back pocket, or thigh pocket depending on which trousers I'm wearing.
10. is there a seperate thread for raffle prize donations or are we doing it in this one?
11.
No Import taxes are levied at the EU border, not at the internal border.
MacWifey will not be best pleased you told me that, as it may result in a significantly lighter wallet!
12.
@ LukeTessie - Whoa! Is he waiting for the tree to grow?! Have you phoned him? I'd be at his door tbh...
1 year - meh! mine took over 2 years, well worth the wait though
13. pics or it never happened
14. ... if I buy online through German based companies like Thomann and Musik Produktiv? I know they have UK offices, but not sure if that makes a difference.
15. Have been trying to use the Basschat mobile site, to see if it makes a difference but can't find it
16. and again. Still sat in it's box on a shelf.
17. The Bitch on Bass from Rock Bitch played fretless - and used to do an awesome fretless slap solo. I'd post a link to Rockbitch but it would probably be NSFW and against the t&c's of Basschat
18. bass players in hats?
19.
A great afternoon was had a this very exclusive gig. With some sweet slide guitar and some very sweet bass courtesy of Happy Jacks' '65P, OBT and Barefaced compact. I could not believe how good this cab sounded and how light it is. I played Roadie for a while and for those of you who don't know this kit, it's stupidly light. But, of course the high point of the afternoon was seeing MacDaddy in full flight with his shocking pink Twisted Sister Jay Jay French Sig Epi Les Paul.
kind of you to say so sir and cheers for the pix bluejay!
I'm not so sure.. He's got a pink guitar
real men dig pink
20. JULY 2012 Sun 8th 3.00pm FREE Red Lion, 92-94 Linkfield Road, Isleworth, London 020 8560 1457 . The Junkyard Dogs first gig at this fine Isleworth boozer, after a few appearances at their popular Wednesday night open mike. There's food availble until 3.00pm, they have a selection of draught ales and a covered, heated terrace where smokers can wheeze in comfort. Come down for a jolly afternoon's entertainment and be home in time for Coronation Street. You'll have to miss Songs Of Praise, though. Sorry.
21. quite a few people on here - me included - would happily pay you £56.00 if you sell it on
22.
That's by design, innit. Do you see the tabs at the top? Forums, Members, Calendar, Shop, etc.? The 'View new content' button shows you the new content for whichever of the tabs you're in at the time. Personal messages are (rightly or wrongly) part of the 'Members' tab, so when you press the 'View new content' button when you're in PMs, it shows you new member activity. Similarly, if you press it in 'Calendar', you'll see new calendar activity. I'm just clarifying how it's designed to work - I'm not saying I like it.
So any idea about the sign in button?
23. best let one of the techie mods know. i'll send a pm.
24.
I think the site is a little too advanced for the kindle browser. I've never managed it myself either.
I can browse the site as a 'guest', I just can't log in. Not on my Kindle now obviously!
25. When I try to sign in to Basschat on my Kindle, the sign in link takes me to a page with a list of members. Is this a Kindle problem or can Basschat resolve? ta.
