2. looks like you had a decent crowd to play to too! You are now an 'arena band'
3. unfortunately life has intervened and I am no longer able to make it. I'll probably miss most of the match too I shall keep an eye out Sunday night for the pics and will be wishing that I was there.
4. Another possibility could be to negotiate free recording/rehearsal time with the studio for your band.
5. I remember reading somewhere, how Jaco would be doing pinched harmonics in time with the brass stabs. Obviously on that version there is no brass, so he ain't doing it. But if anyone can find a link...
6. in terms of Guitars, the Gibson Les Paul must be the most successful signature model ever. Funny how there are signature models of the Les Paul - signature models of a signature model
7. IMO & YMMV etc... I looked at both of these and tried them, although not in a gig situation, when I was deciding what to get - I ended up with a Boss ME50-B through a trade. If I was buying I would have got the Floor Pod because I prefered the sounds, it was much easier to use and I think cheaper. There are plenty of clips on Youtube for both which may help you decide.

10.

family outing?
11.
I like my Shuker a lot, its every bit as good as a Fodera but, like many, I had a long wait. Jon works to his own deadlines for custom work so if you want something special then you'll need to be patient.
this. I probably hold the record at 2 years? TBF to Jon my bass has more than it's fair share of customisation and there was a lot of stuff he had never done before. Totally worth it though, I loves it And the neck? I told Jon what I like and the scale I wanted and he nailed it (so to speak).
12. remember to post pics, if not it didn't happen
13. i'd quite like to see some pics of this
14. my technique comes from having played classical guitar. I was inspired to play bass because of Nikki Sixx who is not the best bass player in the world (probably not even the best bass player in Crue ) but only copy him in so much as I run about the stage, pose and throw shapes.
15. still not sure what the legal battle was. The bass was stolen property, as such by law - even US law - it should be returned to the rightful owner, which unless Jaco specified otherwise would be the family
16. the language we communicate with is music, if you can not read music you are musically illiterate. Illiteracy is not good.
17.
hopefully will get me hands on this in the next two weeks
looking good, don't forget to post finished pics in the Iceni thread. 18. not funny due to being depressingly accurate
19. Were Peter King from the USA he probably have already acheived legendary status and renown.
20.
I think the hottest the heat exchnger gets is ~60 degrees Celcius. That could be wrong as it's information I heard once a few weeks ago.
would that heat have a detrimental effect?
21.
Or how about an alternative to a wall of Marshalls !!!!
Didn't The Wonder Stuff do something like that?
22.
I agree with you about live sound, but to be fair most audiences care more about hearing a song they know than the quality of sound... they just expect things to sound good. However, I do think that the poorer quality of Squier basses is highlighted by the fact that hardly any session players rate, promote or recommend them. It is clear that there is just something special about hig-end/vintage Fenders when you record them (in the special same way that playing through a flat compressor can add warmth to your sound from apparently doing nothing).
there are plenty of sig model Squiers. Francis Dunnery used a Squier guitar exclusively during It Bites hey day (not saying it wasn't modded though).
23. In the main, some severely talented people have been mentioned. But compare them to Mozart, can we still use the term genius?
