1. I find it interesting that the disparaging opinions towards to the MILF thread were not also directed towards the FILF thread. Sexist that is.
 2. Batteries arrived safely. Happy happy joy joy!
 3.
MXR M80?
Bump?
 4.
will post pics if interest generates. appears to be in good working order, will do a thorough test before agreeing on any deal just to make sure. comes with a power supply and a hard case (with someone elses's name written on in permanent ink - my band members nicknamed me "mike" for months). would like some guitar kit - looking for a decent digital delay, wah pedal, practice amp, surprise me. ta, mat.
How about a mint boxed MXR-80? http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/mxr-...ts-pedal--65036 here's an idea of how it sounds. 5.
This is black metal. You don't need great tone Someone on here (badgerific?) is selling a BC Rich beast, in black, for silly money.
oops didn't see that. Doh!
 6. Badgerific has a BC Rich pointy bass in the for sale threads, quite cheap too, that would be ideal.
 7. Fashion possibly, also I'm not sure how good their distribution has been in the UK. I had a 5 string Carvin, quality bass, well built and could cover most requirements tonally. I only got rid because I needed the money and was going back to 4's.
 8. I have a Belinea 17inch monitor free to anyone who wants to collect. It's in perfect working order but it is one of the older ones so quite big and heavy. Free to collector, but bear in mind I live on the 7th floor. There is a lift though. PM me if you want it, I'm in that London W3. GONE.
 9.
I have taken a look on the web at the various products mentioned so far and - while they all seem to deliver what I need - most have much greater functionality than I need TBH. If that is what is available then fine and I will try and decide which one to buy. However I was wondering if there is a simple plug-and-play option with perhaps little more than basic gain and tone controls (I don't want to play much with tone as I like the tone from my P basses) and an XLR output for the backline? I spotted this DHA model for example which is very utilitarian but maybe does what I need? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DHA-VT1-Std-Bass-ove...=item48390f60da Has anyone tried one of these? Edit: just seen it needs an external power supply which is not ideal, I prefer a battery powered pedal for convenience.
I can comment on the other pedals, but my MXR-80 does the job for me. If you want something cheap and cheerful though the Behringer BDI21 may do. 10.
yes but unless you're declaring this yourself it could open a whole can of worms...
anonymous?
 11.
I second this nomination. It's a practical morphological derivative.
+1 and having now used the word regearsal myself we can claim it has entered the lexicon And Beedster, come on, we're waiting for pics!
 12.
After all, the VAT element is never really part of their income -- it belongs to HMRC, who'll get it in the venue's next VAT return. It'll never go into the "Sales" ledger in their accounts.
It may be interesting if someone was to ask HMRC if this money has been declared
 13.
Well, what are the famous ground-breaking planks? Tele Strat Les Paul Precision Jazz Stingray All designed by non-players. And 5 out of 6 by Leo Fender. Hats off to him. Even such popular horrors as the Flying V and Explorer were designed by Ted McCarty. And the Gibson Thunderbird, IIRC, was designed by a car designer (dunno if he played too, though). So, yeah: which famous ground breaking planks were designed by players?
And the Steinberger but again designed by a non-player.
 14.

"if you want to appear unattractive to women, be ridiculed by musicians, and never have any money, it's just the thing"
 15.

"stick a badass on it."
 16. I have the ER20 Baby Blues. They are designed for the smaller ear canal, so if like me you find the normal ER20's uncomfortable they could be the answer. Shop around and you may get them cheaper http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...G&A=details
 17. I have 2 straplocks on my strap. One high up for the technical difficult stuff, and one low down for posing
 18.
Thanks. Yes, i'd also like to hear it with a passive bass too. I think it's 5kg MacDaddy. I wonder what the wattage is at 8ohms.
ta.
 19. Good demo. I liked all the tones, all usuable even the extreme examples - except the full on treble with everything else cut (reminded me of the last time I saw the UK Subs!). How much does it weigh?
 20. thanks for the kind offer Jay, but as Bilbo's came in first I'll take him up. Bilbo you have pm.
 21.
I've got one that I put together. Doesn't feel as right to me as the one with the standard neck though.
How does it sound, does the J neck make a difference?
 22. I have Audacity, what I no longer have is a tape player
 23. Hi I want to convert a cassette recording of a live gig by my old band to mp3. Is there anyone in that London who could help? A few beers would find themselves going your way cheers McD
