1. thanks for the kind offer Jay, but as Bilbo's came in first I'll take him up. Bilbo you have pm.
2.
I've got one that I put together. Doesn't feel as right to me as the one with the standard neck though.
How does it sound, does the J neck make a difference?
3. I have Audacity, what I no longer have is a tape player
4. Hi I want to convert a cassette recording of a live gig by my old band to mp3. Is there anyone in that London who could help? A few beers would find themselves going your way cheers McD
5. I always wanted a P with a J neck, but they always seemed to do versions the other way around.
6.
Allegedly.
no allegedly about it, Cliff and Jet admit it. Cliff had an affair with Jet’s wife, one from which the marriage, and in some ways Jet himself, never recovered. For 30 years, the loyal Jet never mentioned this, not even to Cliff himself. It only became public when his ex, Carol Costa, made it so; and this year Cliff referred to the sorry saga, albeit fleetingly, in his autobiography. from http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...n-princess.html
7.
Is that the well-documented occasion in 1962 when he left the band in a fearful strop, taking his instrument with him?
I'd probably have done the same if a vocalist in my band had shagged my wife.
8.
Thanks for the suggestion guys. I actually don't need amps simulation for what i'm doing now. I'll check the Line 6 Pod XT and the Line 6 M13 but i'm still more orientated towards the pedals option. Also because i don't feel like browsing thru hundreds of useless sounds to find those ones i need. cheers! .ric.
the Boss ME 50B and Line 6 Floor Pod can be used like pedals.
9.
Did several gigs before Christmas with a band who played Easy Livin'. Funnily enough, their whole set consisted of UH songs. They sounded pretty authentic to me. There was some geezer called Mick Box playing guitar.
"if this band make it, I'll commit suicide". One for the Heap faithful there
10. still have the live gatefold album with the program in the middle from '73. Love the Heap
11. some multi fx are simple - Boss ME 50B, Line 6 Floor Pod. A multi is more convenient, one pedal including a tuner, meaning only one power supply etc. An advantage of pedals is that if one breaks you still have the others, with a multi if you break it the whole thing could stop working. I tend to buy things assuming they are going to work and look after them, so I'd go for the multi. This of course leads to the next problem of which one
12. Not sure if I absolutely love it or absolutely hate it?
13. the Attitude please Jay!
14.
I think the Vbass could cop that sound -in fact one of the presets sounds similar. Unfortunately that will requite a bit of woodwork or some rather heavy modification to work on your lovely little bass! ped
and definitely not the budget route! I had the guitar version when it first came out - awesome in the studio. I'll take another look at the bass one when I can go wireless with it.
15.
Fluffy Erection
16. you need a hard word and soft word. For eg. Atomic Kitten Daisy Chainsaw Iron Maiden Guns n Roses Chemical Romance
17. They don't look to have contouring? The big problem with my old SUB was it got a bit painful a couple of songs into a gig when the edge started digging into my arm.
18. cool. I'm in, or would be if the link was working
19. which version of 'Tailz? Kim and Jay or Steevi's lot?
20. never played one so can't comment on the sound, but they look sweet. The bridge doesn't look like it has much scope for adjustment though?
21.
I was going to say. You can get a cheapo multimeter out of B&Q or Maplins for a fiver. As long as you are aware that an off-load battery should show well over it's nominal voltage. That is a 9V battery actually reading 9V is flat
could you explain that a bit more? ta.
22.
You guys getting new stuff, can we have pictures when you get them fitted?
+1
23. I was hoping to avoid the seperate pedals route. If the Line 6 FM-4 can do it, do you reckon the Pod Live would be able to too?
