2. Doesn't Alien on here make powerful light-weight heads? I think he made one for Suy which is rather nice.
 3.
OK. Well in that case, look out for my forthcoming brand new threads on playing whilst singing, whether jazz is any good or not, vegetarians, which is best out of a Jazz or a Precision, Jade Goody, strap length, slapping, football, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc...
and in the spirit of repetition +1 from me to Rich again
 4. looking good +1 on the birdseye maple.
 5.
Oh feck me, not this creaky old chestnut AGAIN. Blimey, is it October already?
+1.

 7.
And the realist in me points out you've probably bought and sold basses yourself because you either needed the money for an upgrade or simply because you didn't get along with them even though it was a good bass. Which is what I suspect most of these are, good instruments, but not special enough to warrant keeping them, can't really blame them wanting special ones either considering they're in the position to afford and try out the best.
but i'm guessing Sting knows his basses and unlike me doesn't need to sell to be able to buy? I'd happily accept an endorsement with Warwick, but I'd still keep my Shuker. And my Hamer. And my Iceni.
 8.
What the hell, thats crazy, im not sure its legal for you to own that many, ans show us pics of only half or so.
I think a man with that many basses has a serious problem. I mean where do you store them, and how do you decide which to play
 9. the cynic in me would suggest the collection could be referred to as 'guitars that are not good enough for...'. If Sting doesn't think it's good enough to keep why should I?
 10. I received an email from BGM asking me to re-subscribe. I'm thinking £22.50 for 12 issues, why not? But I'm also thinking as I haven't actually missed it, why bother?
 11. can't help, but please do a build thread
 12. I've never rated GK amps because of Flea - his sound has never done it for me. But at the SE bash I played through SilverFoxNik's GK amp when jamming with Paul the drummer, and it was awesome. this is of course IMO and YMMV.
 13. Yeah, but what about the people who don't contact you after an audition? Or just keep stringing you along until you find out they got someone else on their website? Just tell me I haven't got the job. I obviously like the band or I wouldn't have auditioned, but do you still think I'm gonna come and see you now? Bitter? Me? Nah!
 14.
Bump. still up for grabs.
why? at the risk of repeating myself I can't believe this hasn't sold at this price
 15. I remember her from back in the day, didn't she have to call herself 'Horse UK' because of a band from USA? BTW you make it look so easy playing the DB, but having had a lesson at the SE Bash - I know it isn't!
 16. And credit where it's due - thanks to Hartke for getting involved and supplying most of the raffle prizes.

 18.
It was really great to meet a lot of like minded individuals, thanks for all the kind words, I had a blast.
me too, and thanks for the double-bass lesson I was happy that everyone who played my Shuker seemed to like it - even if I have got the ramp set a bit high Thanks from me to Happy Jack for the chauffeuring (and for bringing Paul the drummer) I owe you a beer or 2. The only bad thing about the day for me was that it went so quickly. So kudos to the organising committee and here's to the next one!

 20.
As reference for next time, are set-ups on the day of a Bash not of much interest then? Nik
there was lots of interest in the set up master class earlier in this thread. Is this scheduled to happen?
 21.
Very nice indeed, you must be well pleased. Are you going to be playing it down the George II anytime soon?
Unfortunately not. I'm not in Arnika anymore and probably won't be gigging up that way for quite a while.
 22. I've seen some interesting home recorded footage of Keeley Hawes
 23.
Hey Si, thanks for the advice! I dont really wanna risk using ebay at all anymore for sales, Kubickis withdrawn, hard to find and I refuse to sell it for silly money so I've sent it home. Keeper!
I wish I could have kept one of my Kubicki's.
