The bass synth sound I'm after is like on here. You can here it better during the breakdown at 2min 18sec. Can you get this sound from the Line 6 floor Pod, Boss ME-50, OR Zoom B2.1U? If the budget option doesn't work what will? cheers
Not as if he's Bono is it? Although he's in the same band so he's down as an accomplice.
Guilt by association

The stuff with Steve Vai is interesting on Album, (or) Compact Disc, (or) Cassette.
A bit like the sort of thing Def Leppard would have played in the big hair days
which is why I like it, but then again I've got a zebra skin pattern Hamer Blitz that I love
he is the bassist in one of the biggest bands in the world so does he want to be known as playing an 'Entwistle bass'? The answer was 'No' by the look of it, so he musta had Warwick rustle up his own version but with a 'nod' to John.
Funny how this only applies to bassists. I don't think any guitarists have been bothered about been known as playing Lester William Polsfuss's signature model Gibson? Re. Adam's bass playing, how many times have we seen threads and posts bemoaning bass pyrotechnics and technical virtuosity, and stating a preference for solid playing and songs? Here we have a bass player who does that, he does the perfect job for the band he is in and the songs he plays.
Reminds me of some of those old Guild basses.
is what I was gonna say - the B301 and B302. I had a black vintage B301 and it was ACAF so I voted cool would prefer a different headstock though, or headless - neckdive was a problem.
I play with a drummer who has also played with Nick Turner's Space Ritual - that puts me on the extreme outer edge of the Hawkwind family tree. sort of.
Nick Turner was my saxophone teacher in the late 80´s. Not that one ^^^^ but he did used to get Hawkwind fans turning up to his gigs by mistake.

+ me. In every original material band I´ve played bass in, I have created or adapted bass lines which have ususally raised the music a couple of notches, as they were created to suit the song. - me. Playing ridiculously fast for no apparent reason through lots of distortion with piched harmonics makes me far happier than it should.

i´m in will add to the list when it´s up.

i post this in every thread about Squarepusher, but I own one of his old combo´s that he gigged at the Albert Hall it´s been tweaked and customised by Mike Walsh of Zoot, who is Sqarepusher´s go-to-guy. There is stuff from when he was on The Culture Show somewhere on Youtube which is worth watching, and more musically accessible.
...but if you're hosting the images yourself, you can include as many as you like in the main description with no charge.
yeah that's what I'm saying look at the link in the OP, 1 picture of the bass in the top left of the listing. All other pics within the text so no charge.
-
You're going to have to explain that one... sorry!
IIRC there is a charge for each of the pics on the top left that you click on? Doing an image for the text means you can include pics as part of the image and not be charged. For some businesses whose major sales income comes from ebay a couple of quid saved on each sale soon adds up.
Lovely. It does puzzle me why these people choose to have their auction text as an image, rather than 'real' text..
because you can include more pictures without being charged?

Why is C the 'first' note of the scale?
MacDaddy replied to thisnameistaken's topic in Theory and Technique
good 'un Al Heeley ! the piano was the successor to the harpsichord I think (if that's wrong - please someone say so) around the 1700's or so. The harpsichord wasn't tuned in 'even' intervals, which made it sound out of tune when played in certain keys ( the same way that if you tune a guitar to sound really nice in one key, it may sound not quite right in others). The answer to this awkwardness with changing keys was to invent an instrument tuned in 'even' intervals - the piano.
Not quite, 'well tempered tuning' was used on the harpsichord and clavier before the piano, hence Bach's compostion 'the well tempered clavier' in which the same instrument - his clavier - played pieces that go through all keys. -

middle C is the note between the bass and treble clef staves. -

like it and love the mirrored plate. Now all you have to do is make sure you have a light shining at it when you are on stage
Heh! I have to admit ignorance here and tell you that I don't know who Phil Lynott is! <--- Classical/Jazz musician!
he's the bloke who married Leslie Crowther's daughter.
