some of the stuff in this book is genuinely laugh out loud funny ok so who's next?

just a quckie to say I'm loving my Baby Blues (used them for a gig tonight). They are ER-20's but made for the smaller ear canal. I've always found normal ER-20's to be a bit uncomfortable, but the Baby Blues are great for me and do the job. Worth checking out .
I checked out that unit, but it's specifically for guitar and there isn't a bass version - I'd be worried that my soon-to-be-arriving 18V circuit Status might run a bit hot for it. Otherwise looks great.
Doesn't it have a Fender Bassman as standard?
i once spoke to that tom guy on the phone (as mentioned above) and he said they require we sell no less than 50 tickets in advance other wise we won't be allowed on stage. he said he'll keep checking back on whether i think we can do it every month or so and he does each time i saw their number pop up i just let it ring.
Next time he calls tell him "yes we can sell 50 tickets in advance, so that means we don't actually need you!".

I'm old school rock/metal through and through, but Bootsy has always been my hero . -
The carve on back looks awesome. This isn't helping me hold back on commissioning a Shuker
yep ergonomically designed for comfort And go for it, if you can think it, Jon can probably make it.
I'm liking the Ibanez style monkey grip its got. IS it just there for the sake of being there, or will you use it properly? Throwing your bass around, etc. Zach
Hell yeah it will be used properly! Aesthetics aside, this bass has been designed to be played.

I have strings break, a strap lock break, and the input socket bu993r up. But at the moment as I haven't got a car, just one bass in a gig bag is the order of the day.
Wow! Thats realy good - I'll get talking to my band - how long roughly does a litre last??
I'm not too sure. I can only remember buying about 3 bottles - 2 were scented the last one wasn't. Didn't use the machine at every gig, but when I did I used to like LOTS of smoke
-
How much is that smoke fluid normally? I may well be intrested in this - I love smoke machines!!
£7.99 at Maplins for 1 litre, but if you Google then £3.39 + postage for a litre. http://www.lifeismusic.co.uk/lights/Skytro...-Fluid-289.aspx same thing for £4.00 here but doesn't seem to be any postage costs? I need to point out an issue which may affect the sale. As you can see from the pic below, there are 2 raised bits which were caused from the bolts holding the neck on. This happened during the previous body I had made by Jon. It doesn't affect anything that I know of, and Mike put it all together with his usual attention to detail, and The Bass Gallery have faffed with the neck so if there was an issue there isn't now. I mention it to give the full details and not to hide anything.
Denmark St used to be fun. I remember going from one side of the street to the pther trying to get the best deal. Pretty sure that (apart from Rose Morris and Andy's) they're owned by one company.
Andy went bankrupt, not sure who owns it now. He managed to keep his Rolls Royce though

dead batteries, and corner shops in East London
MacDaddy replied to project_c's topic in General Discussion
Get a battery charge checker thing. Mine was less than a fiver from Maplins. Palm size thing. If necessary check the batteries in the shop and show the owner/staff. -
I was lucky enough to know the guys at The Bass Centre in Wapping (now defunct). They were nothing but welcoming and when I had to buy something, it's the place I took my cash too. In Glasgow though, had bad experiences with a couple of shops, which I just don't go to anymore. My wife was going shopping and offered to go in there and get a truss rod wrench for a guitar I had. She took the neck into Strung Out Guitars so they could give her the right size. The two women (who it turns out own the shop, were nothing but patronising and nasty saying that they couldn't possibly sell such a thing, no-one who wasn't trained should do the job anyway and that whole guitar should be brought in for a full setup. Apparently one of them used to work in Andy's in Denmark St. Say no more.
I never resist the opportunity to stick the boot into Andrew John Preston of Andy's Guitars. His address at Denmark Street had various business names all of which had CCJ's against them. He'd just create a new business name and leave the debts. This is a matter of public record, check it out via Companies House. He is also a liar, thief, and scum. This is a matter of public record too, because I filled papers with the High Court stating as much (although in the correct legal language).
Pretty sure the £299 is the starting bid, no reserve. The guy wants to move it on Mex Fender money for a luthier built bass, the build quality on my Zoot really is impeccable, this bass is a steal!
+1 my Zoot is awesome too, but couldn't let it go for that!
