5. I have had dealings with this gentleman. Splendid fellow who I would be glad to have a pint of real ale with.
 6. cgordonfreeman bought my Carvin 5er. Smooth transaction, felt secure enough to ship the bass before payment had been completed. Can recommend.

The original bass was custom made to be heavy ( ) now I had traded it from vxmaxblues, but the bloke he got it off had a new neck made for it - by Mike. I've got Mike to make a new body for it, so it's still an Iceni, just not the original one, maybe custom? Look it's an Iceni made by the guy who makes Iceni's
F F Sake *never* get a Banjo, your only one step away from a straw hat, rocking chair and pleasuring little piggies..... 11. Currently I'm between basses. I've just sold my last one, and will hopefully be picking up my new one sometime soon. In the meantime I'm bassless Am I still allowed here?
 12. Edited for swapsies only - damn credit crunch!
 13. used one at rehearsal on Sunday. Was quite impressed, EQ gave me what I wanted and it was plenty loud enough competing with 2 guitars in an old school heavy metal band.

 15.
Ah, big Camel fan here, although I prefer them before Richard joined... The story went that my 4001CS used to belong to a certain member of Anthrax, but I don't know how true it is. My first Warwick Dolphin was bought by the guy from Hundred Reasons. Better than either, I used to have Joey DeMaio's pick. I've never been the same since I lost it. Maybe it was the true Pick of Destiny.
On their site they have Manowar condoms called Warriors Shield

 17. I've always found them a bit wooly, or muffled.
 18. If you really want to do something: whatever key you are in, just go up and down the relevant pentatonic a couple of times.
 19.
+1, I remember getting home from the pub one night, turning on Jools just in time to catch Richard Bona doing the most amazing things with voice and bass, this must have been about the time that Reverence came out. Truly inspirational. Can someone post the dates that he's playing in London? MacDaddy?
16-Nov-08 RICHARD BONA BAND + Danilo Perez Trio Barbican is all I can find, but check out the what's on part of London Jazz site http://www.londonjazzfestival.org.uk/index...nts&tmptID= otherwise Urb may be able to help?
- and I swear there is something listed over the 10 nights that will appeal to even the most cynical jazz-hater - there are simply far too many good gigs on
+1 I'd love to see John McLaughlin, but I'm a poor impoverished student (again) and have a rehearsal on the 23rd. I'm gonna try catch some of the free stuff though, including John Etheridge (for free!) on the 22nd
 23. I went to a talk with Peter King (jazz alto sax player) earlier today. Prodigiously talented musician, good stories, great insights. Glad I went. Didn't like any of his bebop stuff, but the Bartok arrangements were good. Can't believe Bilbo has not mentioned London Jazz week. Richard Bona is playing
