1. Many moons ago, I studied Jazz at college on a 2 year course, but no means an expert but I'm aware of the different genres. But this to me is jazz. The test is how much can you watch? (if you make it to 6 mins what the French Connection UK is going on?)
 2.
Sorry about asking an inconsequential question, but is that a through-neck? If so, one of the more subtle through necks I've seen. Or noticed. It's a very nice looking bass all round.
Thanks & yep it's a Thru-neck.
Nope, at the bridge!
from the edge to edge of the strings 15mm between the G & D rising to 16mm between the B & E.
 3.
Nope, at the bridge!
ok, I'll get the tape measure out again, later.
 4. it's about using flattened 5ths and making sure every chord is at least a 7th
 5.
Hello Flanker , I think you were the first person to buy a new Skjold in the UK . Be well , Pete Skjold
now thats something to be proud of
 6.
If I gave a hoot about post-count, I'd post a meaningless message in here for the hell of it. But I don't. So I shan't.
+1
 7. Excellent news. Had a great day and helped raise money for worthy causes. Marvellous!
 8. *chin hits floor* ouch! mmm F-Bass!
 9.
It's like someone took a Kramer Duke and beat it to death with a bling'd out ugly stick...
10.
ouch.....hard words for a Warwick....you will reap the wrath of someone saying things like that.
who have ripped off Kramer?
 11.
we just need a shed and 57 basses...
I know a bloke who's got 57 basses
 12.
I know I could get to London, where I might have more success (as long as I don't mind the extortionate prices and rude staff). And even then Sound Control has closed down and Andy's didn't have any basses last time I looked.
If you are referring to Andy's Guitars, owned by Andy Preston, he went bankrupt (again, which is why the shop's trading name kept changing from Andy's Drum Centre, Andy Guitar Centre, Andy's Guitars, etc). He ripped me off for £500.00 on a Fender Bassman Amp the shop was selling for me. He's a liar, cheat, and scum, but that's for another thread.
 13.
9mm? You sure? 18mm is pretty narrow on a 5.
yup sure, we are talking at the nut?
 14. ok, 34" scale & 1 3/4" at the nut, 9mm between strings.
 15.
What's the string spacing at the bridge? Is it 34" scale?
Gimme a minute and I'll get the tape measure out.
 16. New price bump. Damn you credit crunch
 17.
Oh my. I wasn't expecting to like it.. but,
+1
 18.
It will be 12 months next week since I placed my order on an original build time of 3-5 months.
October last year for me
 19. What you should be seeing here (bottom left) is my former Trace combo. 1X15 500w which had the felt covering (can't remember the model no off-hand). This pic is from 2002. Once I'd sorted out the correct fuses ( ) this amp never let me me down, was versatile, and always loud enough even when not going through the PA. The only drawback was that it was heavy. I still miss it though
 20. My custom made Shuker (in production) couldn't be anything other than headless, as it has the 2 extra frets on the E string (Kubicki style) & a bend well across the other strings. Headless makes sense, easier on small stages, better balance, smaller cases and less space. BC Rich do a non-headless headless guitar, with their quick loader strings. No tuning pegs, but still a headstock.
 21. никакой товарищ
 22. what about an effect pedal with stereo outs, one in to each amp?
