So after about 7 years of faultless performance my Audio Technica wireless finally decided to give up on me. No sound, but if you jiggle the ariel on the transmitter pac, it cuts in and out. I've emailed Audio Technica about a replacement transmitter, but have had no reply. Unfortunately they no longer make the model. So are transmitters fixable, or are they notoriously none fixable? If anyone near Luton fancies having having a fiddle I would be awfully grateful and honour bound to supply a few pints in the process.

Luton Aid - Saturday 26th July. All day charity event at the University SU. We were the first band on at 2pm so I was expecting to be playing to the bar staff and the next band, but we actually had a fair sized audience. Only 30 mins, but it went so fast. One major mistake by the drummer - which we managed to cover and plough on, and one song played mainly as an instrumental as the vocalist couldn't hear anything and didn't know where he was, otherwise good gig and we went down quite well. I went through a mates Marshall stack. Sounded pants on stage, but FOH sounded great. Spent the rest of the day watching the rest of the bands and drinking student priced beer

Hi I need a bit of advice. The original plan, was to have an all in one pup cover/ramp/thumb rest running from the bridge to the neck. Having played a few basses with ramps, I'm thinking slapping may be compromised? Is this the case, or will it just mean an adjustment of technique? Otherwise it will mean having to reshape the pup cover/ramp/thumb rest by the neck, which may destroy the aesthetic

It runs down to 2ohms and puts out 720w It refers to impedance. Do a search, there have been threads where people have explained it better than I can.

IIRC it was meant to be [i]future proofed[/i], but Yamaha haven't given it the support needed since it was launched. So not many updates or new software. There's a thread with more advice somewhere...

In a word [i]awesome[/i]. It's MOSFETs but IMO it totally outgunned Ampegs (I have owned Ampegs). It's all there, you need to spend some time with it then you'll find your ideal sound. Then after you've spent more time with it, you'll find your ideal sound again! It's all there the tonal options are immense. It's built like a tank (some of the components are military spec) and quite weighty because of it. There are people of this forum who's experience of PJB hasn't been good, but any email I sent was replied to either by Phil or one of the team usually the next day. I only got rid, because the stack wouldn't fit into my new car. Try it, and AB it with another amp, you'll hear the difference.
