1. yep, used them and still have a spare pack. Used them on my old Guild B-301, soap bar pup, through my PJB. In one word awesome! The clarity was amazing, it's difficult to describe sound in words, but for me they were well worth the money. The only reason I'm not using them now is that I bough 4 string packs, and now I play a 4 tuned BEAD, and a 5 and 6.
2. thanks for the replies, looks like I've got a lot of homework to do
3. Following on from my previous thread, I've bought the hard disc recorder, and am now looking for some flat response monitors. I've got a £200.00 budget. Charic has already recommended Yamaha HS50M monitors. Any other opinions advice? thanks in anticipation.

5. someone please buy my custom Shuker 6, so I can have this!
6. Has anyone mentioned Martin Clunes? Star of Men Behaving Badly, but played bass in the quality one-off drama Hunting Venus as part of former New Romantic Band The Venus Hunters who ended up playing a special one off, on the late show with Jools.
7. Bearing in mind the Google hits this site now generates (back on par with Bassworld?) and the growing global membership, it's a shame (and suprise) we don't have bods from Fender et al popping in and contributing to threads like this. I'm not suggesting every mention of a manufacturer should warrant their time and effort, but here we have a legitimate consumer issue that is generating interest. And to add to an earlier point, IMO if a signature model bass is not good enough for the signature artist to play, why should it be good enough for me?
8. try putting a bit of vaseline on the wrist before you play.
9. you should write the whole thing up, and send it to BGM. They could do with a new feature - real bassists, with real gear!
10. I'm not generally a Ricky fan, but that looks sweet.
No MacDaddy!Dont worry about technical aspects, they are so easy to use,you will learn it for few days beleve me.And it is so great that I plug my bass directly in Boss and the sound is just fine. And drums on my first song is a drum loop from Boss, sound fine and clean!Sorry on my bad English!
what monitors do you use?
12. was a classical guitarist first, and got the first electric 3-4 years later. Moved on to bass another 3-4 years later. Classical guitar technique lends itself better to bass than electric guitar - especially if you are a finger playing, which is what I am
13. because so much more of the kneck is joined to the body, this helps increase sustain and affects the tonal characteristics. OSIH.
14.
Hello MacDaddy! I sugest you to save the money for BR1200CD or BR1600CD cause they dont have Compact Flash, they are truly harddisk recorders, they came with 40 gigabyte hard disks!Hear some of recordings with BR1600 CD on my myspace site!
hi, you've got it sounding good. I checked the spec of those, but they were just a bit more technical than I could cope with.
15.
Nice price, but I'm waiting to hear back from someone about a Boss.
and I did indeed buy it but now I'm wondering about some monitors, something cheap that can handle a low B

I'm a bit set in my ways and don't like change. Have we been barred from the ususal place?
