  1. Do the UK Christmas standards feature in setlists your side of the pond?
  2. I've only bought 2 bass related things this year. TGI Ultimate Gig Bag, which was bought for Shuker no 3, and is the best purchase because there is plenty of space at the top for my tuners which face down, rather than across. The other purchase is also best 😁 A Pocket Pod, which is an amazing practice tool. Utterly convenient, portable and easy to use.
  3. Ooh Mr la-di-da rwillett! 😜
  4. Possibly mine? Which I bought having played @Frank Blank's at a previous bash
  5. This chap 😁 Nice bloke, we had a chat, and he was up for me posting his pic on Basschat.
  6. Exhibitionists and voyeurs?
  7. I wouldn't want that in my search history...
  8. 90% of being in a band is turning up when you say you will.
  9. Not last night, the night before. First rehearsal with the Americana band in a rehearsal studio, and first time meeting the drummer. He's been on at the other guys about needing a bassist so he was happy I was there πŸ˜† The guitarist was using an early 70s Les Paul, he's a finger picker and sounded sublime. I used my Mouse which is fretless, and although it sounded great I felt my playing initially wasn't quite up to scratch for some reason. Also I came to the realisation that I'm far too reliant on the Mouse's fret markers. More practicing at home by ear needed. Anyhow, by the end we were sounding pretty good. Looks like this one is going to be a lot of fun 😎
  10. Just out of interest, and I know this is not what it's made for, but what is the loudest useable volume? If you put it through a 4x10 could it keep up with 2 guitars and drums?
  11. Gene Loves Jezebel, next Sunday
  12. If anyone finds they don't get on with their SY-300 but still wants a synth pedal, I've got a Future Impact (one of the signed ones) if you fancy a trade.
  13. Nah, keyboard player can do it with their left hand.
  14. So how does the 'meet and greet' package work then? πŸ€”
  15. Just seen this. What a deal! Glad it's over as I would have been sorely tempted πŸ˜†
  16. My amp isn't on my pedal board.
  17. I'm probably missing the point, but if something is going on my pedal board I'd be expecting something stompable.
  18. First rehearsal with the covers band last night. The guitarist has his own rehearsal room at the end of his exceedingly long garden, which is convenient. At times we sounded great, other times not so much, but we're still looking for a second guitarist, which is desperately needed for some of the songs we're doing.
  19. You won the title of 'Bestest Basschatter in the whole wide world ever, at least until tomorrow ' 😁
  20. Down south and in that London, 'dinner' refers to the evening meal. Are you referring to dinner as being (correctly) the mid-day meal?
  21. My first question is "will the bar staff be working for free?".
  22. 'Popular music' does not. It's actually the opposite. If you look at the development of western music upto the first half of the last century then compare the harmonies; tonalities; and rhythmic devices of popular music it's quite the regression.
