  1. Not a bass, but I bought an Epiphone Les Paul because it was the Jay Jay French (Twisted Sister) sig model.
  2. DPD's tracking has twice shown my package has been signed for and left with my neighbours Shirley or Karen. Both times the package was in front of my door. Also I do not have any neighbours called Shirley or Karen.
  3. i love threads like this, following!
  4. Beethoven's fame was built on his public performances. He also conducted his own works.
  5. I've made some spectacular mistakes, and @Silvia Bluejay has the videos to prove it! 🀣 But you know what, the world didn't stop turning. And apart from some well deserved ribbing from the band, no-one cares or remembers. As Beethoven said: To play a wrong note is insignificant. But to play without passion is inexcusable!
  6. Thanks for the replies. What would the routing be for each of your options?
  7. At a sound check, I couldn't work out why I could hear my bass through the PA, but not my amp. Forgot I'd muted the amp when I turned it on. Bass through the DI box was fine πŸ˜–
  8. Don't PA's have a volume control?
  9. I second that motion!
  10. Old school metal band playing a biker rally in 2009
  11. It's because of playing one of these, that all my basses have ramps πŸ˜ƒ
  12. Just a thought at the moment, but I'm thinking how I could recombine a split signal? If the effected output from a synth pedal is put through a delay pedal, how can it be recombined with the dry out, so they can both be put through a single amp input? Or would putting the effected signal through the FX loop return work?
  13. For question 2 I would tick both the 'no' answers.
  14. I have never experienced the presumption of innocence, when questioned by the Police. Very much a presumption of guilt. Btw I was innocent, honest Guv!
  15. I'm sure that back in the day @chris_b was forever pushing pineapple and grounding coffee!
  16. That's not necessarily an issue these days... https://www.washingtonpost.com/magazine/2019/10/30/dead-musicians-are-taking-stage-again-hologram-form-is-this-kind-encore-we-really-want/
  17. whereas Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page...
  18. If Sir Paul and Sir Ringo record together could they release music as The Beatles?
  19. Back in the day I was a guitarist. By the time I could play something resembling shred, that era had passed. I joined a band and we did a couple of STP songs, one of which was Plush. I remember being disappointed at how easy they were to play. Can't speak for the bass lines though.
  20. Ah, makes sense!
  21. What's the bit between the pups? I though it might be a ramp but it seems to be sitting flush?
  22. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-61006984 The verdict is in, so I guess we can legally talk about this now? Gotta say from following it, I agreed with Anthony Ricigliano (appearing for Sheeran) "paraphrasing a quote from West Side Story composer Leonard Bernstein: "The pentatonic scale is humanity's favourite scale and is so well known that one can find examples of it from all corners of the Earth"." With any musical plagerism case, this springs to mind:
  23. "liquid Jesus dipped in butter and greased with lightning sauce"
