  1. If Sir Paul and Sir Ringo record together could they release music as The Beatles?
  2. Back in the day I was a guitarist. By the time I could play something resembling shred, that era had passed. I joined a band and we did a couple of STP songs, one of which was Plush. I remember being disappointed at how easy they were to play. Can't speak for the bass lines though.
  3. Ah, makes sense!
  4. What's the bit between the pups? I though it might be a ramp but it seems to be sitting flush?
  5. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-61006984 The verdict is in, so I guess we can legally talk about this now? Gotta say from following it, I agreed with Anthony Ricigliano (appearing for Sheeran) "paraphrasing a quote from West Side Story composer Leonard Bernstein: "The pentatonic scale is humanity's favourite scale and is so well known that one can find examples of it from all corners of the Earth"." With any musical plagerism case, this springs to mind:
  6. "liquid Jesus dipped in butter and greased with lightning sauce"
  7. I tend to like Prog bands when they are not playing 'prog'. Owner of a lonely heart, era Yes Hold yor fire, era Rush Invisible touch, era Genesis
  8. I find a gander at the basses for sale forum disabuses me of any similar notion.
  9. Extended fretboard for the low D does for me. No need to compensate down the next either.
  10. I'm glad I'm not the only one! 😆
  11. TecAmp Puma 500 (or 900). Set the EQ to the centre and use the 'taste' control to dial in the vintage tone
  12. Let us know where you decide to go, as there will probably be a friendly Basschatter close by, who would be happy to tag along and offer and independent opinion
  13. they stuck needles in peoples faces to see if it helped their tinnitus. It did.
  14. completely understand why people would not like it, but from me it's a phwoar!
  15. I don't think they are really twins 🤔...
  16. There's a Lotus which is a rebadged Vauxhall.
  17. The Digitech BP355 does all that (plus more). They can often be had for under £100 now.
  18. and yes I know that's not strictly true (letter-name effect, etc) but I think Peavey and TE are built in the same factory?
  19. For some reason this is not on the Trace Elliot website, the only amp featured is the Elf. But it is on the Peavey website.
  20. you used to play with Noel Gallagher?
  21. These are only £166 from Thomann so probably not much cop. I've never played one but still really want one! 😆
  22. Yellow USA Fender P Zebra stripes Hamer Blitz White Charvel M2 Black Guild B301 All bought on looks before I played them.
  23. Looking at the 2022 Rebellion line up, there may not be any traditional punkyness, and people from a band big in the 80's and early 90's may be living in that London now, so not necessarily a London band. Bearing in mind the size of venues, I'm gonna plump for Billy Duffy (coz Ian Astbury lives in LA).
