  1. Looking at the 2022 Rebellion line up, there may not be any traditional punkyness, and people from a band big in the 80's and early 90's may be living in that London now, so not necessarily a London band. Bearing in mind the size of venues, I'm gonna plump for Billy Duffy (coz Ian Astbury lives in LA).
  2. Should Mr Simonon have a white pup?
  3. "Wuntoofreefaw!" And a personal favourite that I have inappropriately used at the start of a pop song: "One, two, three, Oi!"
  4. Floyd Pepper, Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
  5. Mark Mendoza, Twisted Sister. Phenomenal player, awesome stage presence, thoroughly original and visual technique. Twisted Sister retired in 2016 after spending the previous 10 years or so headlining the biggest rock/metal festivals around the world, yet most of bass chat probably haven't heard of him.
  6. So in terms of the practicalities... assuming the drummer is playing to a click, they'll be wearing headphones/earpieces to hear it (unless the click is put through a monitor?) so how will they hear the rest of the band?
  7. Competition from the Peavey Vypyr VIP 3, which can be had for under Β£300. Amp modelling for bass and guitar, with a bunch of FX, and loud enough to gig with (I've gigged mine on bass in large pubs with no worries).
  8. That was my first thought! πŸ˜†
  9. Can I give you a 'wow!' ? That fretboard is stunning 😎
  10. When Ali G asked Buzz Aldrin about the lunar conspiracy theories "does the moon really exist?".
  11. NSFW Another favourite
  12. Does politics belong in music? Does a social conscience belong in music? Does love belong in music? etc... But to answer with some favourites: Hurry up Harry - Sham 69 My cousin Kevin - The Undertones Be Chrool to Your Scuel - Twisted Sister and Alice Cooper
  13. Many years ago, an originals band I was in changed vocalists. My playing was initially all over the place with the new singer, as I didn't realise how much I'd been relying on vocal cues. Lesson learned and rectified for future bands.
  14. It seems to be a bit more complicated than I would have thought. I'm still not sure what is meant by 'bridging' and 'parrallel'?
  15. Not anymore, those little blue pills are marvellous ☺️
  16. Back for a refund or to be replaced?
  17. you've answered your own question.
  18. i've still got a blue Ikea trolley. Great for indoors on hard floors, not so good anywhere else.
  19. back in the day, I was gigging in my metal band and wearing suitably clumpy boots. Too clumpy as it happened, as the toe cap was too broad for my multi fx. The first time I tried to change a patch I pressed 2 switches which put me on mute for the tuner πŸ˜–
