i've only seen and played one Warwick which had a slim neck, @G-77's IIRC? It was so nice 😎 far better (for me) than the usual baseball bat type Warwick necks.

It's quite simple really. There are members on here of (and above) a certain age. During their formative years, in the music they were listening to, bass guitars often sounded like a dull thud due to the recording technology of the time. This is what they grew up with, the sound of their youth, and what they aspired to. So fast forward to now, how do you make a bass guitar sound like a dull thud? Flats! 😆

Opposite for me. Started with heavy strings, now play and much prefer ultra-lights. Suits my low action and full body ramps better too.

Once turned up for an audition, I'd learned the songs they wanted me to, but I learned another while the guitarist was tuning up.
