  2. Nobody ever said Van Halen, or Black Sabbath, need another guitarist. Have a listen to what they were doing as a bass/drums/guitar combo.
  3. The only other time I've seen the word 'Boogaloo' was in the title of the Breakdance movie sequel 'Breakdance 2 Electric Boogaloo'. Breakdancing was a form of dancing which was briefly popular in the mid 80's which involved spinning on your head.
  4. Breakdance 2 Electric Boogaloo? Breakdance and blues? 😳
  5. This. Do not be blasé about this if you want to keep your hearing and/or avoid tinnitus.
  6. i have basses that are not big and heavy.
  7. Uli Jon Roth's Sky guitar 42 frets. Definitely a lead guitar!
  8. 2 shows at Knebworth? meh! Robbie Williams did 3!
  9. you could keep it PJB and get a Bass Buddy.

  13. I glad you said that because I'm the same. Watched the first one and found it to be a bit boring. Won't be watching the second one. And it's not like I don't know how the story ends... Agree too about the editing.
  14. maybe I should start another thread, but if we consider Beethoven to be a musical genius then by comparison, is Sting a musical genius?
  15. Not email, but someone really wants me to see how heartbreaking Michelle Ryan looks in her 30's.
  16. I once ruined a great band because of something similar. So the next time the guitarist brought a song I said 'how does the the bass line go?'. From then on all the bass lines were just guitar lines played on the bass. The songs suffered as a result.
  17. And the lucky winner is...?
  18. For me, it's vital that my hands are warm. And clean, but that's to do with making my strings last longer @Happy Jack did a video a few years ago in which he demonstrated some hand exercises that are good for warming up.
  19. can't say that's ever been an issue for me, though it is a common complaint.
  20. A CNC machine in China, a CNC machine in the USA. With the same materials and parts what is the difference in quality? But as with @Boodang and their Sei's, my Shuker's have been built to my custom designs and body measurements, and will last a lifetime
  21. I have a Japanese Squier Silver Series Telecaster guitar. IIRC Squier Japan, became Fender Japan? Anyhow, once I had the neck reshaped it became the perfect guitar. For me I've played more expensive Fender Telecasters, but the feel and sound are not any better. To me
  22. I do not have tone controls on my custom basses. The sweet spot on my Snapdragon folding bass seems to be rolling it back a tad. The tad being decided by what amp it's going through. My Rob Allen Mouse is a different animal. The 'tone' control seems to vary between sounding like a bass, or a double bass.
